The 2020 Range Rover is celebrating the RR 50th anniversary

I know it is very personal, but the new one isn’t done any favours in that colour, the original on the other hand brings back fond memories of mine in that colour

    Adventum Coupe....... why?

Think he retired in 85, so only had real involvement with the original, not saying he didn’t visit after though

    Bankz's 110 Double Cab

Must say I prefer the “just run in” look

British car show St. Louis mo

    A question about the classic

Not sure where from but have some dim and distant memory that only the petrol RRC had any form of diagnostic

    L322 Towing Electric's Relay I.D.

Funny how modern stuff falls over when the old stuff works, the telltale on my RRC is happy indicating when towing trailers with or without led units fitted; you can fit a 13 to 13 pin canbus adapter if you don’t fancy adapting the trailer wiring...

    Classic 94RRC Vogue SE

Aren’t the handles the same as Morris marina amongst others, not sure if the lock mechanism is the same?

    Waste oil

Went in last week and dropped off a large container (2 vehicles worth) of old oil in the waste tank but told to put the old filters in landfill area, where is the logic in that

    Classic transmission problem/s

Could be right about the reduction in driver input as a reason to move to the vcu as it was probably seen as a differentiator from the landis but I was always under the impression that it was the introduction of the chain drive in the transfer box that was there to reduce transmission whine

Range Rover Classic ('94) Load Area Side Window Seals

Not sure what they were charging but think Atkinson Bespoke Engineering we’re selling them on there stand at the NEC restoration show last w/e, might be worth a call

What did you do with your Range Rover today

What I didn’t understand, was why they couldn’t be broken for spares, ludicrous scheme would have been a better name for it

Sport Range Rover 2.0 diesel engine failure 28k miles on clock

Amazing good fortune, you only seem to hear about the bad stuff with regard manufacturers & stealers, then one steps up to the plate like this
  13. S

Other How many Land Rovers have you had in the past 5 years?

Only the 1 in the last five years, but it is the same RRC that I have had since 93. Few more previous to that though

    P38A Tow bar options/recommendations wanted.

I have used a Westphalia cycle rack and a Thule "easy base" carrier, both of which fit to the actual ball and include lights/number plate which makes fitting/use much easier and are also easy to swap between vehicles without resort to spanners

    Bankz's 110 Double Cab

Good that everyone is ok, but the German looks like it might be a write off
  16. S

    Classic Time for new rubber

Front to rear is ok but side to side has been frowned upon due to the change in loading of suspension components

    1957 Series 1 88” 2 1/4 L Petrol

Nice one, always liked the look of the series, been a long time since I had a series II

    Bankz's 110 Double Cab

Not a good combination, time for a cover of some sort?

Classic Tracing a Range Rover Classic

You can sometimes be lucky just entering make/model/registration number into a search engine, I know this was successful for someone who was trying to locate a car he owned in the seventies, an advert in Ireland mentioned a previous reg in carried and hey presto he was able to be relocated with...

Classic changing gearbox to ZF 4 hp 22

Not sure what the exact differences are but believe that it is the ZF4HP24EH that has electrical control and was used with 4WD, the ZF4HP22 is mechanical control and a common replacement for the BW35/65 in seventies classics i.e. Stag etc although there is a 4WD stag that uses the earlier box so...
