Tis nice and shiny, but the bulkhead looks fooked which is probably keeping it low. There are no pics of the chassis either which would worry me.

I spoke with Tonks once about a chassis change, you said you would get back to me. Still waiting, and that was 2008. Great customer service.

What Rattlegun said, It's a vintage vehicle.It might be quick on it's own, but you have just added a tonne of weight to the back.

Looks tidy enough and a galv chassis is a bonus, but at that price you are paying for it! Personally if you want something that looks like a defender, you should buy a defender, but you would pay a lot more.

I'm surprised to be the first one to say you will regret it! Can't you stash it somewhere for the time being? You will never, ever recover the time and effort you put into this, and work out what you have invested in this x £50ph to see what you are about to gift to someone. Your call, good luck

Cheers The pump and most of the engine bay is grimy, i'll give it a good clean down before I start.

Unfortunate. I think I saw a galv bulkhead on fleabay recently, might be worth a look.

Thanks for the response, it's always best to hear someone who has done the job themselves. I've ordered the gasket and picked up the O rings so I can get cracking, but would this leak be stopping the old boy starting?

2.25 Diesel

Hi I have a leak on my diesel injector pump, which gets heavier when I prime the system (I'm having starting issues, which is why i found the leak) I have looked through the archive and have found it's probably just an O ring. Question is would this be enough to stop the motor starting? Found...

It must have made the desired trip and then some! Can we have a whip round to bring it home?

Like BB Said, it is all down to the individual motor. Basket case £500, concours £20k upward, how can anyone give an accurate value without all of the info?? :welcome2:

Forward. It does engage in all gears, but most folks advise to use it only as a 5th gear to avoid undue strain on the unit.

Cheers guys I am going to want the option of hard top and rag top, so i'll probably have to get the bar from Exmoor trim, but this will look a bit odd I think.
