    No Clutch

You did remember to put the clutch release bearing back in didn't you?;)

    No Clutch

TBH, you have replaced everything else that is likely to cause problems with your clutch. So unless you have been given a faulty part, the only thing it can be, other than the master cylinder, is incorrect fitting.

    oil

Since I have been using this, Halfords | Halfords Classic Oil 20W50 5L. I have found my V8 runs quieter and smoother and leaks less.

    No Clutch

You can buy seal kits for the master cylinders. Fitting them is fairly straight forward.

    No Clutch

Yes, If the internal seals have gone, the fluid can pass between them and the cylinder wall. The piston pushes the fluid past itself, rather than down the pipe to the slave cylinder.

    No Clutch

Sounds like the master cylinder piston seals may have gone. If you have changed everything else, and put it back together correctly, then it is the most likely culprit.

    transfer box banging

You haven't got a transfer box on a Gaylander. You need to replace the VCU and possibly also the IRD. You can find out how to do this in the relevant section on the forum.

On a more serious not, there are many ways in which water can get into a Defender, and I don't think Land Rover ever made one that doesn't leak. The main areas are door seals, bulkhead top rail, behind pedal box, footwell floor, roof seal, door hinges, windscreen seal and basically anywhere 2...

    Broken gearbox.

After much pushing, shoving & swearing, I have finally got it to select the gears, and the gears are all where they should be. The problem is that although the gears are being selected, I have no drive and the gearbox sounds like a coffee grinder full of gravel. My immediate thoughts are failed...

    Syria

The UK is not participating in the UNHCR programme, but is running it's own scheme. Syrian refugees coming into the UK will not be given residential status, and will be classed as temporary refugees unless they meet the same permanent residency requirements as any other non EU asylum seeker.
