    underpigeons R us

And there was my 4.6 in the ad section on this very site for less money more goodies and complete :(

Down on power and 13.4 mpg.

This engine needs to go back to basics - everything there and occuring at exactly the right time. From that move forward - it's an utter waste of time if a cam is a tooth out for example. Probably best if a professional does it, though. Big hint there although you have said the car is now...

    P38A Range Rover '97 4.6 HSE

This vehicle has now been withdrawn from sale - many thanks to all who visited the ad.

    P38A Steering column

Forgot to add....if you remove the offside front roadwheel and the wing liner, you'll find better access to this lower column looking at it from the side instead of only from above.

    P38A Steering column

The lock stops are located on the axle itself. There is a lower shaft which has a uj then a rubber coupling at the upper end of it and a separate uj at the steering box end. The lower shaft upper uj connects to the bottom of the steering column. As Wammers says, centre the steering box and...

The steering box has to be centred, that's essential to be done before anything else.

    cheque book out again !!

I've never done the key to vertical four times at the start of the process. My BeCM knows it's gonna get an EKA code when it sees me approach the car because it's been sucking on the battery for the last three weeks or whatever........

    P38A Range Rover '97 4.6 HSE

Sorry forgot to mention in my ad above that the car has no overheating issues - the temp gauge always sits at 12 o'clock when up to temp. But it does have the cheque book symbol - the heater works just fine but the aircon doesn't sadly.

    P38A Range Rover '97 4.6 HSE

It's time for my Range Rover to go - I've had it for about four years or so but now I don't have the time to give it the attention it needs. So the good bits first. New battery. BeCM refurbished. New drivers door lock Suspension pump kit fitted. Four as new Continental Cross Contact tyres - 16...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Finally passed its MOT today - only two adviseries. So now it's up for sale, don't want a lot for it - I'll put an ad on in the next day or two. And when I look at the big empty space on my drive, it'll be time to check into a post P38 Treatment Centre.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

So, on the way to the test centre the suspension beeped a warning all lights flashing and then they stayed on - guy at the station said its not a problem as long as the car is on its bags and level which it was - and then the thing promptly ran out of petrol - the gauge reads half full when...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Fitted the front exhaust Y pipes and installed a new lambda probe because I managed to roger the connector block on one somehow - have done rear brake pipes already so it's off to the MOT station on Saturday for a revisit. Have decided to sell the car now as have little time to apply to it -...

    Evoque Help

The Evoque Convertible is anything but cheap - for what they are, eye wateringly expensive - and look even worse than the tin top. I've only ever seen one in the flesh. But the comments about the school run and badging etc are spot on - that's the way these days. Goes with the over sized...

P38A Epsom green bonnet near me

I guess you've tried Kerbside - when I was there he had a selection of retired looking P38's lying around.

    Oil level issue

And then, even though the car is eleven years old and has done 93k, go running to the dealer expecting it to be repaired under "goodwill" from the manufacturer. And go straight to "social media" when they're told to F off.

    Oil level issue

We're all told we want self driving cars apparently - don't leave home without one. And electric ones as well. So here's the thing. Where is the infrastructure to supply the electrical energy that will replace oil - answer there isn't.

P38A Am I mad? Toying with purchasing a V8 with coolant hose issues.

Hmmm - still think it'll be tears before bedtime:)

P38A Am I mad? Toying with purchasing a V8 with coolant hose issues.

These fixer-uppers usually end up on the market after Billy Bicycle Spanner has faffed with them for three months and given up.

P38A Am I mad? Toying with purchasing a V8 with coolant hose issues.

For 2/300 pounds more get yourself one without issues - or one that you know exactly whats wrong with it - personally I'd leave well alone.

    P38A hub nut

3/4 breaker is the way to go.....half inch can let go and you can end up with physical damage - not recommended.
