    Not sitting level

Yes I found that bit the longer one is on the drivers side. Its level across the axle, just front to rear. All body amounts and cross member is fine.

    Not sitting level

Not really as the front is lifted more and the rear sits at +51mm from standard. It just looks like there is a 2" lift on the rear and 3" on the front. If anyone can reconfirm standard ride height?

    Not sitting level

That is what I would have said but the parts I have found list them as the same numbers for Discovery and Defender, petrol and diesel. Logic says to me that the diesel will have a heavier front end so it will lift a petrol more, with logic saying Discovery is heaver back end to this will sag...

    Not sitting level

No not got my winch fitted yet. Cheers I will inspect all the mounts, they looked fine when fitting the springs and it sat level previous.

    Not sitting level

I've been going round and round and round in circles looking for a definitive answer on my springs. Various sources say Defender and Discovery springs are the same, Diesel and V8 springs are the same....... Now I've fitted a 2" lift from a Defender TDi to my Discovery 1 V8 in the...

    First td5 disco any idvice?

ACE if its there make sure it works, as its all to common these days for them to just add a smaller belt and remove the pulley then program it out.

    Lexus to Landrover

Yeah mine is around 28mpg over the space of a year. Mind I also have those moments where am late for work and need to make swifter progress than 56mph which does hammer the fuel.

    Lifting blocks???

I fitted it the way my mate said they came of his Defender, longer ones at the front, but longer was only like 5-7mm, but the front looks like its over an inch higher, althou being a V8 might explain a bit more. Mines nose high and a little higher on the drivers side.

    Lifting blocks???

Sorry to but in but could I use a pair of lift on the rear of my Discovery as the back end sits down after fitting my 2" lift kit? Would fitting 90 Defender springs cause the rear to sag?

    which one is the best

I've often thought about the Lexus V8, makes nice power and is as reliable as the day is long and is very well proven. You can buy a complete LS400 for not much cash now, its newer, reliable, readily available and could work out pretty cheap.

    disco mod tyres

Llo yeah putting it like that. Makes pedestrians look thou lol. Mines V8 auto and am yet to actually be brave enough for it to drop in to over drive mind 55mph was only 2000rpm but plenty scary enough at that, considering it would cruise at 70+ with ease previous, am gonna get some part worn...

    disco mod tyres

I just fitted 750-16 Deestones to my Disco today. Forget engine noise, I have a V8 and can't hear it over the road noise, god there noisy really noisy. Arch will need trimming, and handling going from 235-70-16 AT's to them gave me a shock it really feels strange very woolly but proved great...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Finished playing with the lift kit althou the front sits somewhat higher than the rear, yet it was fitted as recommended. Then set about getting the 750-16s on not as bad as expected, the steel series wheels with there shallower offset means way less trimming, not that I really plan on abusing...

    2" lift, advice needed please

Added costs with going over 2" 2" still remains a good compromise for road and off road use.

    laning around lincoln?

I fancy some but due to them often turning in to more than I want to take my Disco down at the moment I tend to stay on the safe side of caution as its also up for sale. I won't mind as much once it has new tyres and lift finally finished, but am a bit of a girl with it at the minute even thou...

    Happy Disco owner

Serious? They really need to drive a proper Land Rover to experience what have no power is really like. I've never had an issue with my Td5 with pulling, only when I have wanted to get a shift on did I think I wish I had more power, normal world it has 'sufficient' power ;)

Is this an MOT failure? With Pic...

Is an MOT not a safety check at the end of the day? A split rubber does not effect the performance of the ball joint, if it has play in it granted fail, but a sodding rubber boot with a split being a fail are they taking the **** these day. Its like failing on not fitting anti squeal shims...
