    P38A The Luckiest Trip Ever...

Hi Chaps, As avid readers of my posts will know, I have a little boat (and hence a Range Rover). Today we went out from Putney slipway which is liable to flooding at high tide. In the knowledge of this I parked up on the road well away from the slipway, and went off for a lovely trip. Then...

    Windscreen woes

I remember playing around with a magnet a few years ago to investigate this, would make sense for the structure to be steel but then the visible parts Al, not sure which manual to find out all the materials. Part of the buyers guides floating around is that the one place that rusts is under the...

    Windscreen woes

I could believe the roof being steel so it was stronger in case of a rollover but most of the body panels are Al; that was why it was the first Land Rover that didn't rust :P

    Windscreen woes

The body panels are aluminium so if what is under there is also so it would have escaped corrosion.. there could be hope!

    Replacing autobox oil cooler pipes

My oil cooler pipes were leaking at the join and I just replaced the hose and clamped it on strongly with a few jubilee clips :)

    I'm back guys!

I'd have thought given that it's just a wire that should be the case, I think the end is just stiff; I cannot find throttle lubrication in Rave, any tips on lubricant or method, or page number if I'm just missing it? (I won't use WD40 ;) )

    I'm back guys!

The chrome is hideous imo but there we go. Yes I said that, they're Pirellis, I'm impressed Interior pics will follow (phone crashed after that photo...) but is pretty nice; less equipment than before but everything in it (except the heated seats obviously) works, which is good :) Going to...

    I'm back guys!

Must be Thor, she's a 2001 model, been doing well so far although city economy of 13mpg makes me weep :p I was thinking since the throttle is mechanical it might just need oiling. Hmmm that sounds much easier, but yes we'll see if there cooling system explodes or something first! I'll be...

    I'm back guys!

I have absolutely no idea :P how do you tell? The engine looked a bit different from the 3.9i on our discovery back in the day, does that help? Yeah I know! My diesel never leaked though haha Also, the throttle is MUCH stiffer than on the diesel, is that normal? The diesel's is really floppy...

    I'm back guys!

Hi chaps! So, as some of you may remember just under 2 years ago I sold my P38 DHSE as being a student I didn't spend enough time at home to look after her. If anyone's interested I'm about to start my 4th and final year, am doing well and still having a great time :) But... I went to help...

    Warming up

There's something in the handbook along the lines of "in the interests of fuel economy drive as soon as starting but don't use excessive throttle" but nothing about it causing a problem mechanically.

    I need a tablet

So long as it's running Windows 8.1 (ie proper Windows, not Windows RT) things should be fine

abs, traction control light on. help!!!!

Yeah it sort of looks like a grenade in the rear right of the bay. Should be all you need provided the pump's still fine; when I did mine the lights cleared forever (literally, sold the car before I saw them again) but before hand they were around for about a minute after turning the car on.

abs, traction control light on. help!!!!

Is the handbrake light also on? That happens if the breaks have insufficient pressure - see brake accumulator/pump
