    Warning facelift owners!!!!

So report him man, there's CLEARLY grounds for reasonably suspicion here! Would neatly dremlling my reg into the lense be A. legal and B. effective? Good luck polishing that out, they'd be worthless to thieves.

    Suspension shopping for ride comfort

Thanks taht's really helpful! I'm pretty much sold on the TF shocks now, good reviews for the most part. Good to hear about the OME coils, mine's got bags on the back so they'll need spacer for the lift and I think going on what you said I'll use spacers on the front too. I don't chuck it round...

    Which dampers/coils for ride comfort?

    OE it is then :).

    Which dampers/coils for ride comfort?

Yes that's a good strategy, but what coils should I fit if I just want a 40mm lift without any extra gear? I'm not planning to fit a winch, and lots of the HD lift springs are designed with extra equipment in mind to get the correct lift. OME do lots but they are very pricey.

    Which dampers/coils for ride comfort?

Hehe sounds good. So I assume it would be best to fit 40mm spacers front and rear with OEM coils and new shocks. That would give me the lift but without needing HD coils. For some bizarre reason I can find any light duty +" coils for the D2 from TF. Is there anyone else who does them? I'd prefer...

    Which dampers/coils for ride comfort?

It's not wallowing as such its jut not ironing out the bumps. It's not firm but it's not floaty either, maybe thats just how tratters are? The rear feels relatively ok to me, its the front which feels off. All I can say is the the hippo feels really even and absorbs the rough stuff, the D2...

    Which dampers/coils for ride comfort?

Yes it is air at the rear so will only need front coils. No ACE unfortunately :(. It corners fine it's just you can feel every pebble in the friggin road. It's nowhere near as nice as the hippo and more of our roads are going to **** every year. I figure its just a heavier car and needs fresh...

    Which dampers/coils for ride comfort?

Hey guys, My D2 is feeling a bit bouncy and jolty - at 120k the shocks and coils are probably naffed. I'm after a set of dampers and coils which will give me 2" of lift and extra travel, but give a better level of ride comfort than what I have now. Currently I'm running 18" alloys with...

Been looking around and most are 2" lift springs but with extra load. I'll be fitting a rock bumper (for the looks honestly) so what spring erating would I need to get the correct lift?

Off to look at a D2 tomorrow, help with a checklist?

Well I'm hoping that changing the box oil will help it. Otherwise the bits aren't too dear even from main dealers.

Any particularly trusted makes out there? Is there a specific damper that would suit my needs too?

    Suspension shopping for ride comfort

That's not a bad idea, use OEM coils and then use 40mm spacers front and back for the lift. If I fitted longer travel dampers I'd still get the articulation I'm after even though I've use spacers under the coils right? I have air on the rear :).

    Suspension shopping for ride comfort

Hey guys, Well I saved £500 of my budget by haggling, so I'm going to spend it on renewals and repairs to to get this lovely Disco even fresher. Now I gotta say, coming from a Hippo (with the same 120k miles on it) the disco is a slightly bouncier/joltier ride. This isn't a huge problem, and I...

Off to look at a D2 tomorrow, help with a checklist?

Yeh there will be quite a lot of small jobs to do now before I fit the interesting bits :). But I think that fundamentally it seems to be in pretty good shape. I was happy with the price - got him to knock £500 off :).

Off to look at a D2 tomorrow, help with a checklist?

Well it checked out on every point you guys raised, thanks for that! I'm cautiously optimistic that it's a goodun! 1st and 2nd crunch a bit if you change too fast, but an oil change will proabably sort that. It drives beautifully and I think I'm really going to enjoy it!! So thanks everyone...
