Billy Braggs Rangie and 'hard times'

Not many been done right... Yeah, I wish mine had been done like that. Wouldve done it very different if I'd done it mself.... I've only just finished digging out the expanded foam crap and cursing every single misaligned bodger rivet in mine

Billy Braggs Rangie and 'hard times'

That's one way of looking at it. The other way is, if they aren't having time n effort spend on 'em to get modded for off roading, they'd be going straight to the crushers yard...... Which is good for those of us who have straight standard RRC's too :)

Battery gauge - is it needed?

    confusing temp gauge

Does the wiring to the sender check out ok? Just thinking as a good few years ago I had a temp guage on an old BiTurbo had a life of its own...cause was a short in the sender wire chaifing on the bulkhead metal, and it only shorted when I put my foot down as the engine mounts flexed just an...

    Paddock Spares taking the P***

The mistakes are not normally the biggest problem, as such. It's how they're then handled and 'rectified' that frequently causes customer anger n frustration. No conspiracies, just actual realities mate.

classic 3.9 v8 (removing centre exhaust box)

Got a large cherrybomb centre and a motorbike style twin exit backbox.... I had to experiement put the right size/length decibel insert in the cherrybomb to add a little back pressure to get the engine to run smooth and stop nextdoor neighbours dog barking back. Unfortunately that decibel...

Anti Mud Sprays - Got a question

I've heard they work better if you drive north....but you need to disconnect them before driving back south, cos otherwise it'll stop the fuel going in perfectly aligned:D

    Paddock Spares taking the P***

You're doing very well not having this thread removed already. Give it time and someone who knows someone, who works with someone, who is a relation to someone who works for Paddocks will be one here. Or create a new account. With a bit of extra trolling thrown in for good measure, the usual...

    Lots Of Welding Required

Great thread....This all looks very familiar!...I've done exactly these same repairs on m daily driver silver RRC, and plated up around the rear seat belt mounting points too. The front inner wings on mine were made worse cos of the thick road grime build up behind the arch liners too. Amazing...

    Central Locking

Could also be linkages gummed up. I've found door outer handles are particularly prone to not opening doors if not lubed.

Fuel magnets - anyone use em?

Ask yourself why vehicle manufacturers don't fit them as standard equipment. Passing fuel through a strong magnetic field does not change it chemically. Close your windows, sunroof, and check tyres for correct pressure. If you have to spend money, service your vehicle....These things WILL...

    Resistor on temp gauge

I got one of them (slightly larger one, think about 34), and a bunch of digital gauges cheap on ebay from China. Got two volt meters (one for starter/engine battery, other for winch), and the temp gauge. The temp guage has a flat head screw on the back to a pre-set resistor I think with the idea...
