    P38 Mpg Diesel?

To start with I AM using the inbuilt MPG calculator: but having moved from straight diesel to rough 50/50 split with Veg oil, my AVERAGE MPG (reset each diesel fuel as I am somewhat anal about maximising it) has gone up from 28.5MPG to 33MPG, with the same driving trips (Oh and its not chipped...

Hi No duty up to first 2,500 litres by law in 2007, no need to declare on the spot as well. So NO DUTY until you use 2,500 litres

Anyone running a 2.5 Diesel on veg oil ?

Hi Noticed in Tesco's today, and they had BOGOF on 3 litre veg oil so £2.53 for 6 litres. Runs out today, though you can order up to 99 on tesco.com online.... If I went down that route and having read this post and others, I realise pre-heat/second tank are good solutions, but are they...

    BeCM gremlins?

Hooded, result 6 seconds after opening and after closing did the trick on both front windows. Clamshell also working fine now. Many thanks to you Hooded and to IrishRange who fixed the BeCM let's hope this is the last of it for a while at least!!! Cheers and thanks Adam

    BeCM gremlins?

Hooded, not tried that, will do and see how that goes. One other, would the windows not being set prevent clamshell locking as this is also occurring? Cheers Adam

    BeCM gremlins?

Weird also that the rear windows could be set by opening and closing..... More food for thought. Cheers Adam

    BeCM gremlins?

Hi Irish, thanks again Tried PTFE spray and the windows slide up and down completely fine, but still no setting. I can live with it, but if the very slight annoyance of the series of beeps can be fixed, it would be much appreciated. Cheers Adam

P38 Oil and Filter Change (and Engine Flush?)

Hi For my tuppence worth, I concur on the 10W/40 maybe even up to 15W/40 over the hotter summer months. I don't do it, but seen recommended on here changing the oil twice yearly, once going into autumn, once into spring. Cheers Adam

    BeCM gremlins?

Ok, Irish did a grand job and the BeCM was received today. The only thing wrong with the BeCM was the power (not the worse 'signal') board, Irish had one spare so dismantled and affixed the better one, tested it all 'A' OK. Then the moment of truth after 30 minutesd to refit, main beam not on...

    BeCM gremlins?

Hi got in contact with both Rik and Irish and have chosen Irish to do the work, has been most helpful on pm. Asked my garage to take out the BeCM and allow me to send it to Irish and fit it when it comes back but garage said would not trust the parts and refused then to do diagnostics at the...

    BeCM gremlins?

Hi Read quite a few posts re BeCM problems and if you are interested then my symptoms are main beam staying on (but not rear) when engine running, RH-F door open when not, silent indicators. Had AA out and all fuses tested OK, battery good and earth's sound. My landie garage reckon BeCM...

Intermittent Problems - Oh the joys.......

I am thinking that I get quote from the mobile guy, and a further afield 4x4 specialist not my local indie. Move forward from there. Thanks to everyone, will check out the HEVAC unit.

Intermittent Problems - Oh the joys.......

Thanks for that all. I have looked at RangeRovers.net and the shortcuts to installing the blend motors look v good but my indi refuses to use them and goes by the manual. Should I find a local 4x4 specialist who at least is used to dealing with these machines and would consider the short cuts...

Intermittent Problems - Oh the joys.......

Hi Nick Thanks for that, too tight to take it to the stealers right away, anyway. I thought from the diagnosis advice on the rangerovers.net page dealing with HEVAC, my Blend Motor for moving the flap is knackered and the flap stuck, and the Blend Motor for the temperature regulation hence LO...

Intermittent Problems - Oh the joys.......

Ok, I have mentioned on here before that I have the book symbol on my HEVAC unit. On starting, and for the first 40 or so fast miles (explanation later, look for the '*'), my unit only blows hot air no matter what the temperature (unless on LO) with the AIRCON turned off. Other info, the 'air'...

    P38 Irregular Steering Wheel Vibration/Shudder

Hi Only just getting my hands dirty with the range and once I get it through the MOT I will flush the intercooler and se how she runs after that. MOT is causing a problem, though. I need new mid and tail exhaust, new rear discs and pads, and what my garage thinks are called hockey club bushes...
