    Canvas Cover Question

That’s a good idea. I’ll do that. Was looking at fitting a rubber grommet in otherwise

    Canvas Cover Question

Thanks for this. Yep that’s exactly how I’ve fitted it. Feels like when the rain is horizontal (as is normal among the Bristol Channel where I am!) it’ll continue to get through those eyelets. Might have to mock up a rubber patch and feed the rope through

    Canvas Cover Question

Hi all Me again! Recently fitted canvas cover which has been great but during recent hard rain noticed that water is spraying in to the rear from the eyelet of the rear flap either side all over my new rear seats. 🫣 A minor inconvenience but wonder if there should be a rubber grommet or...

Hi Sprie. Unfortunately I’m not well versed enough to help wire it in but I’ve attached some photos of mine to help you locate the correct position. Hope this helps.

    Soft Top Fitting Question

Whilst I’m here…anyone fitted canvas door cards? I’m thinking self tapping screws and small pilot holes through both canvas and door frame?

    Soft Top Fitting Question

That’sa good point- I ignored the riveting point as wasnt part of their fitting instructions video. I did speak with them earlier today though and it seems to be an optional element- original was riveted but you see so many that aren’t. I think a strip of neoprene tape for extra peace of mind

    Soft Top Fitting Question

Thanks anaconda. Useful pointers. Would a foam seal be waterproof though? I was thinking of getting some to stop my seat box cover from rattling in any event 😂

    Soft Top Fitting Question

Hi all Just fitted a set of Exmoor trim hood sticks. Was previously a hard top which I removed. There was no seal on the top of the windscreen itself and as such the sharks tooth header rail has bolted directly to the top of the windscreen - this doesn’t seem right to me and seems an obvious...

    One Piece Door Seals

Ha yes I don’t fancy doing that to mine to be honest. I’m too precious about it as it is 🤣. I’m surprised no one has made a one piece seal specifically for the series landys - much easier to swap over roof between hardtop and canvas etc for summer than drilling out rivets everytime

    One Piece Door Seals

Hi all Slowly working my way around all the bits and pieces I need to change/replace/improve/burn/bin etc on my S3 but one of the items recently replaced by a local garage (door seals) I’m really unhappy with. The standard one piece seals seem to actually be more for 90/Defender and do not fit...

    Late S3 Headlight Bezel Colour

Ah ok that’s great. Means one less thing to try to paint 🤣

    Late S3 Headlight Bezel Colour

Evening all. I have a late (1982) Series 3. I understand that the correct headlight bezel colour is silver on these latter models and not body coloured. I have bought and some replacement bezels which are bare aluminium but I assume these should be painted? Any idea on the correct silver colour...

    Series Tailgate

Morning all Happy Bank Holiday Weekend! In the hope that we may have some sunshine over the summer months I want to convert my hardtop to a canvas tilt. However I need a tailgate - ideally already in marine blue to try to match the patina of my existing paintwork. Does anyone have a spare...

    hub cap

Not that this is a job I’ve yet done on mine, but I’m told that a hub spanner works really well to get these on without damaging the cone. It is the right diameter to fit all around the lip so can then be tapped on equally around the hub
