I've replaced the whole setup in the rear door. Got it off eBay after failing with a wire kit. All worked ok but has now started playing up with it not dropping enough.

Cheers. The buzzing sounds like the fuel pump priming when u turn the ignition on but it continues. Doesn't seen to shut up. Duff relay not shutting it off after a few seconds priming?

Hi guys. Suddenly got a buzzing from ubderneath my td4. Sounds like the fuel pump constantly on? I've got a FBH fitted too which also seems to do what it wants. It was on the other day when it was warm?! Any ideas on both probs?

Mine was the 90 degree pipe that's on the right side of the engine as u look at it. Check its not got split or hole in it.

Vcu would give that problem. What's ur tyres like? All same size and brand?

I tried a tailgate one, £16.50 off fleabay. It was crap. I opted for a new unit with motor and runners in the end.

Cheers nodge so use a trolley jack on that front v shaped bar or subframe and use the jacking points on the sill for the axle stands? Anywhere specific on the sill like the actual jacking point itself under that plastic protector?? Cheers. Paul

Just done mine today. Was I meant to pull and throw away the loo roller filter and plastic clip, then use the circular seal, push it over the whole where the filter fitted too then clip in the new seperator? I've replaced the seals too the one with the tags on it. That all sound correct?

Today I changed air filter and swapped the crankcase breather to the newer bmw seperator. Might go and drop the oil in a bit and swap that.

Fitted a complete new tail gate regulator assembly and removed the propshafts and vcu unit to take to Austen at bell engineering to test. Also got to look into fitting a new gaitor on the front joint by the ird.

Has the mechanism/regulator ever been changed? Does it beep near the console when u press the window switch? Maybe worth looking into recalibrating the rear window. I'm just about to change my whole mechanism as mine snapped. When I tried a repair kit, which failed, the motor acted oddly...
