My mates disco is lying stuck in a hole tonight after the nw Britpart swivel ball sheared off next to the flange! Having not seen how he drove into the hole, i suspect a bit gung ho, my britpart swivels on all the landys have taken the beating i give them. Maybe his was a bad part ??? Either way...

I believe the braket bolts to the cassis and then to the rear wing. Flap hangs off it.
However, remove them or tie them up if you go playing, I tore mine off. So there in the back to get re-fitted along with the front ones.
If anything it's some courtesy to other road users.

I fitted the paddocks rad muff to my TD5 last winter, no problem with over heating and good for keeping the mud out. I took it off to give it a good wash and found the metal rings crimped into the muff were pulling out. NO problems with Paddocks sending out a replacment.

I got my brother a set of finger spanners - where it like a ring and the socket grips the nut. Brillant for those hard to reachareas where you can't use 2 fingers. Just wish I got a set for myself :mad:
When I first noticed it, I took the thermostat out and clean it, I then gave the engine good flushing. Thermostat is shut, opens in a cup of hot water.
Think I got another voltage regulator to try.

I prefer my 110 TD5 to my Series 2a 2.5na for technical off roading.
Better articualtion of suspenseion, more responsive to the power for hill climbs.
But I love the character of the Series.
Both vechicles are fairly standard specs.
As he title says, my temp. gauge doesn't get up to normal - it used too until recently. I now bairly gets passed cold. I tested the wire / gauge by putting it straight to earth and immediatly it went to hot. I had a new temp sensor, so I fitted that & it didn't even flinch.

So the unerside of the rear tub is now throughly oiled :(
I replaced both fron & rear diff seals, I noticed that the nut was really horsed up on the back and I now ownder if the previous owner did this due to the leak. Ok so it could be a bad seal I fitted or something is worn.
