Could you explain what pressing the brake pedal would signify if the wheel wobble then didn't occur?

I'm always having to clean my rear quarter panel below my fuel filler cap as it is always dirty with what looks like fuel spillage. However, when filling up I never spill a drop of fuel. Can anyone help me out here? What is causing it?

One by one we worked methodically through the possible causes of the fuel starvation issue. We have identified the root cause and resolved the issue. We have established that the culprit was indeed a blocked filter on the end of the fuel pick-up pipe in the tank. One Landy is back on the road. ;)

My mate has an old Landy that has had a 300TDI transplant. Driving to work he started losing all power consistently having to drop through the box to maintain drive. He has since changed the fuel filter and fitted a new lift pump. His Landy now fires and runs for 30-40 seconds before cutting...

I really fancy saving myself a few quid and replacing both the clutch, flywheel and release bearing myself on my Defender 300Tdi. Does anyone have a link to an easy to follow step-by-step guide? What are the pitfalls? Any tips? etc. Many thanks.
