    Leggy TDV8 or a TD6?

If it's been looked after the TDV8 every time. Take a drive in both, they're chalk and cheese. If you drive the TDV8 first you'll think you've jumped in farmer Giles tractor by mistake when you drive the TD6:)

    Lancaster Discount

Just renewed with Lancaster. Was about to renew at £250 and was asked if I was a member of any forum, told them I was and the quote came down to £217:) 2002 RR Vogue SE on gas. Fully comp with an 8000 mile limit.

    4.6lt V8 Fuel issue

I think they mean that's how much petrol is being used before the switch over to gas, although I could be wrong. Could be your temp sensor is faulty and not switching over to gas as it should or switch over temp is set too high in the gas ecu. Regarding the MPG read out, my understanding is...

    4.0 lpg

Those codes point to faulty 02 sensors. Those injector times seem high. I had mine on the comp a few weeks ago and from (a dodgy) memory I think I was getting approx timings of 4 milliseconds on petrol and between 5 and 6 on gas at idle. The injector should pulse for longer on gas but this will...

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

In the end decided to go for the Terrafirmas. Mainly because nobody seems to use them (so no bad reviews) but the one person I did find seems to rate them highly and I also managed to get them for £25.00 a corner;). So thought it worth a punt. Although I think I might have got the last set of...

    Big mistake

For 12 months you can sleep easy. The warranty they give you is the same as for a new car, that's why main dealers are always the most expensive place to buy a used motor. Main dealers love warranty work, it's a nice little earner. They'll let you extend after 12 months for a kings ransom but...

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

Didn't 95% of P38's after approx 1998 come out of the factory with 18' wheels? Whilst appreciating 16' wheels will aid comfort, LR must have reached a compromise. My last P38 ran on 18's and I don't remember it being quite as hard. The only difference being it had Arnott Gen 3 air springs. The...

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

I'm just not a fan of the designs of the 16' wheels and with a spare set of 18' comets and summer tyres already cluttering the garage think another set of wheels could be a set too far!! New shocks it is. Nearly plucked up the courage to hit the buy it now button for a set of Konis earlier, a...

    Are they really that bad!

+1 to that. When me and a buddy drove through France. Him in his L322 and me in my Classic. It was the Classic that drew all the crowds.

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

Standard 18' wheels. Running my Avon winter tyres at the moment which have probably got a firmer side wall than all season tyres but not enough to make a huge difference I would have thought. I tend to run 30psi in the fronts and 34 in the rears.

As a preference, does this translate into Koni or Boge:D

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

Bushes seem ok, not too brittle. It's a low mileage example but over ten years old so will need replacing in the not too distant future. Air suspension is in good nick with heights recently checked and probably like most on here who've owned these for many years you tend to notice visually if...

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

I appreciate that wammers, but to be honest I still find it a bit harsh when there's me, the wife, the 3 lads(men) and the dog on board!! I'm just trying achieve that nice gentle softened thud when you hit a pot hole or speed bump as opposed to a hard whack (A bit over the top) I get now. I'm...

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

Boge seem to be the safest bet, as they are not expensive but seem to get favorable reviews. The Konis are adjustable with settings from 0 (softest) to 4 (hardest), couldn't find any reviews of people using them on 0 (That's what I'd have them set on) and some say 1 is still pretty harsh!!

Shocks. Done To Death But Humour Me!!

I know, covered many times and I've searched til I've needed matchsticks to keep my eyes open but still need some up to date opinions. My P38 runs on the original factory fitted genuine shocks (50k miles) and as far as I can tell they still work fine, but I find the ride on less than perfect...

    just bought a p38

If they are hurricanes they only come in 18'. But if you've been finding the 20's running ok 18's should be fine. This is only my personal opinion (before the 16' boys shoot me down in flames) but I think the 18' wheels come in designs that suit the P38 better and has been said plenty of...

    Is a TDV8 worth it?

Some say because LPG runs hotter in can advance the issue. But for every LPG'd P38 with a slipped liner there's one that's covered well over 100k miles without issue. Some say production tolerances were ****e, some say it's down to running too lean to meet admission targets or a badly designed...

    Is a TDV8 worth it?

HG is the least of my worries, that's a 5 minute job. Slipped liners are wot nightmares are made of:eek:
