sip is a good budget welder but if you want to go a bit better Murex/Esab is the job , if your going to do any amount of welding you'd need to be spending close to 1k

no need as they have a rough surface perfect for **** to stick to :D

good stuff , make sure and give them a dam good cleaning with thinners and spray them in a warm place

yep mostly got on discos and mine came off a disco too , their called Landrover free style alloys

i just used aerosol tins as i had no rust and just wanted to freshen up the rear corss member, wurth would probably be the best brand to get , but if your painting a cross member that you welded or had been bad with rust this wouldn't be suitable

i'd put in an ITG filter from Td5 alive much better than the boy racer muck called k&n

i got the wheels for next to nothing and got them sand blasted and re painted they turned out good

put these on the other day and tidyed up a few other things painted the light surounds and grill matt black and painted rear cross member matt black too

don't be a tight ass and do the job right :D , there is no real difference to be noticed just that your engine will last alot longer when its taking in clean air rather than exhaust fumes

it wasn't as bad as it looks you just need to remove the washer bottle and the air intake for the heater you can then access most of the bolts oh and you need the plastic arch off too , small hands are a great help at this job :D, when i looked at the job first i thought there was nothing to...

when i bought my defender i noticed a small hole in the passenger side floor matt i could see outside through it so i opened the bonnet and had a closer look and i seen a much bigger hole where the previous owner must have been doing some shooting inside the defender ha ha , anyway i stripped...

if you look on tyre you'll see the date of manafauctor it will be a 4 digit number week and year like the 46th week of 99 alot of people see this number and haven't a clue what it is 4699

i got a steering bar for a drfender it was ok but you can't go wrong with a straight bar , i'm told their cv joints for defender are good and alot cheaper then the gen landy one, i got alloy wheel nuts of them and they were poor enough :(

looking some touch up paint for my defender not sure on the green colour name , i'd need a spray can not a touch up pen , have a bit of painting to do on bulk head in engine bay someone shot a hole through it with a big rifle ha ha before i bought it can i buy it of land rover ?? heres a pic
