Cheers james, you know the little plastic clips im refering to they were broken so it was hsrd to work out how to fit them back in ( one was sat in the bellhousing when we removed the box ) What do they do ? i assume they stop the bearing spinning or something but then so does the fork itself...

Hi there i have searched - fitted a new valeo heavy duty clutch the other day and noticed when you have your foot very slightly pressing the clutch it squeeks - i know i have a uj with play but it does it in neutral too so im a bit confused - we reinforced the clutch fork as it was cracking...

Ive contacted the part company & they are refunding & sending courier to collect - to be sent back to manufacturer apparently

Happened to me in an astravan once , pretty scary but fifth gear n brakes stalled it before it killed itself

Oh right i dont do auto,s i assumed it would be locked in drive until stationary, makes sense now sorry !

Friend of mine worked at a garage, they had a p38 in , the bloke had cooked the brakes trying to stop it & it drunk all its oil then siezed, how are you going to block the air intake if you are in the car at 70 mph, can u take an auto out of drive at 70 mph ????

its the fact its loosing water that made me think head gasket

Agreed, apparently the manufacturers get the backing because it saves weight therefore reduces emissions sod the poor peeps stuck in a dangerous location without even a temporary spare to get them home, tbh i get called out to perfectly fit & able individuals to fit theyre spare for them as they...

New cars dont even come with spacesavers anymore, now you get a puncture repair kit ( which are a complete waste of time & very rarely work ) keeps me busy tho cos im recovering them :-)

I wouldnt bother putting the viscous back on theyre a pain in the arse, pop down scrap yard & find a lecky fan off an old escort or something, switch & a fuse & job sorted, never have to worry about it again !
