I got nearside and offside from craddocks pretty cheap but they are nas spec.

That’s debatable i suppose! I dont like the look without the larger arches.

I have wider arches to put on.

One problem i have encountered is the exhaust pipe closest to the bulkhead on the drivers side clashes with the footwell. For me this isnt a problem anyway, i was always planning on fitting the lower puma bulkhead of these 2 photos for clearence.

Working my way towards the driver’s side. With the driver’s side collector in position i can fabricate the other manifold.

I wouldn’t be hanging them lower. I will make a bracket that mounts onto those brackets that hold the exhaust more or less the same level as the crossmember

Thanks james, Well i wont be fitting an undertray so i’ll be using them as mounts for my exhaust

What gets mounted onto these brackets on the front of the crossmember?

Update! I swapped the mockup block for the actual engine i’m going to eventually use. Only temporarily installed for me to fabricate the manifolds and exhaust.

Have a look at my ongoing thread in the defender forum. I removed my 200tdi (same engine location as 2.5 petrol i think) and am installing a v8 with mounts that i have fabricated. Everything apart from the mounts and exhaust+manifold will be standard and in the land rover position.

Sorry its taken me so long! I have the gearbox mounts not the engine mounts.

If i had the ££££ that engine would be going in my defender!!! Good luck with the sale
