something new just happened, battery died so got a jump start, done a 60 mile spin, got home and decided to try the heating, put both up to high but only cold air coming out, tested hoses in engine compartment , they all seemed nice and hot so beats me as to why. when i refilled the expsnsion...

Hi I appear to have a similiar problem only mine loses the coolant and it appears to come out via the hose from the expansion tank. i have replaced the rad and pump but still seems to happen, did you ever find a solution for this? thanks Phil

Hi all Am losing coolant from my 4.6 LPG range rover, I have had all pipes checked and they seem to be fine but it keeps happening. is it possible the expansion cap is at fault as last time the water appeared to be lost from the "overflow" pipe attached to the expansion tank. or is it possible...

Been having overheating probs with the 4.6, new rad, water pump,head gaskets installed,drove 70 miles to brighton, next morning needed 2 litres of coolant put in, top water pipe beside rad and above belts was empty of water, when heating put on in cab it only blows warm air not hot, Multipoint...

i think I sorted it :) there is a second rad in the dash when i turned the heating on it opened a valve which allowed the coolant from the engine to run into the second rad, there was air in the second rad- this caused the overheating an additional 4 litres of coolant and lots of bleeding later...

Hi when the rangey is moving the heating works , when the rangey is stopped in traffic it stops working :( any ideas??

could be but the system was bled by the garage who replaced the rad

Hi my p38 is overheating after just driving 10 - 20 miles. i have put a new rad on and bled the system, i tried to turn the heating on and the temp went straight in to red and only cold air came out the vents, any idea as to whats wrong? Thanks Phil

Hi Just had a gasket blown on my 4.6, it turns out after a lot of investigation that the 4.6 is prone to an airlock on the cooling system, just posting this as advise for any other 4.6 range rover owners who may have engine temp issues

Afraid the plug under the seat wasnt the problem , still searching for it

Hi I'm looking to replace the tape player and radio and possibly the 6 cd changer in the boot, with a reasonably priced sysytem which will allow me to play my ipod/iphone. I was also thinking of installing a reversing camera so maybe a flip out screen? Anyone got any ideas or contacts?? Thanks
