Greased and worked it with the moleys and it ran great without any problems until I turned the engine off for 10 seconds and then back on again. Think something might need replacing :(

Thanks John, the red plug is fine for oil and the wastegate rod didn't seem to move very much or all that easy but it drove great after I moved it and coated it in WD-40 However, after turning the engine off it goes back to the sluggish engine again. Any suggestions on a permanent fix?

It's a Britpart fuel filter underneath the O/S rear wheel arch...

I'm not worried about doing the servicing but I would rather put it through the books as it's a company vehicle. It's more expensive but I'm worth it :)

Hi, My TD5 seems to be a bit flat when accelerating. It's even worse when the engine is cold, almost got overtaken by a mobility scooter this morning! The revs seem to pick up after a couple of seconds and the power comes on quite strong but it's those first 2-3 seconds after a gear change...

I'm happy enough with the garage, the owner and the mechanics. Thought the price was ok too but just wondered how it compared to others. Will probably go back to have the track rod end done along with the rear radius arm bushes...

Thanks gents, the bill was £285 plus Vat. Service/labour came to £150 in total and was detailed at £37.50 p/h. He said that they had been right through everything and checked the whole van out so maybe that was an hour or so? Not sure whether they used genuine parts or not to be honest.
