    Sucking in water

Got a similar problem. Sealed up the pollen filters but still have water dripping from above the accelerator pedal when it rains or after going through the carwash. It's definitely not o-rings and the ac drains are clear.

    Give me a clue

Had a rough running/misfire/lack of power problem a couple of months ago. Changed the plugs, leads, coil pack, O2 sensors and eventually the MAF. Seemed to be a combination of all of them but the new MAF finally cured it.

think i may be getting somewhere!!!!!!!

Mine is sorted too!! Loads of faults but don't know which one started the original problem (missing and running rough). New plugs, leads (old and brittle), coil pack (missing on 2 cylinders), O2 sensors (pattern ones didn't work properly so OEM fitted - big difference in live readings), finally...

    poor performance no power !!

Ok! Misread what you wrote and thought you meant they can't get flat spots! As you rightly say, there is a problem with mine! Bigger problem is trying to work out what's causing it! Cheers

Hi eightinavee, Big probs with a 4.6 Thor. It's in with Simon at Swindon 4x4 and he can't find why it has a flat spot. Started a thread on the forum but no joy there. It went in with a misfire/rough running. Eventually cured the misfire (coil pack, leads, O2 sensors replaced) but it now has a...

My 4.6 Thor has got a terrible flat spot that is baffling the mechanic!

    Flat Spot

It went to the garage with a misfire/lack of power. It was put on techmate, all faults cleared, and it showed O2 sensor problem. Changed both. Still misfiring/rough . Checked the spark and 2 were weak. New coil pack fitted. He noticed the plug leads were brittle so changed them as well. Still...

    Flat Spot

My 1999 4.6 Thor RR had developed a misfire. Put it on Techmate and ended up with new O2 sensors (two lots - the first were pattern and didn't work properly), plug leads and coil pack. It starts fine but has a horrible flat spot. Every search on t'internet points to the MAF but Techmate says...

    reversing mirror dip

Mine does similar in that it dips and then stays dipped. I move the mirror back to where I want it and then reset the seat position memory. Seems to fix it!

    Viscous Fan Removal?

I was told that if you look at the fan from the top, the way the blades are pointing - towards you and left (drivers side) on my engine - is the way to hit the spanner!

    Heated Windscreen.

When I had my windscreen rebonded on my 99 P38, I saw the fitter disconnect the connectors under the plastic trim between the windscreen and the engine bay, close to the pollen filters, not in the footwells.

    P38 Air Con Drain

on mine you could see the water dripping from the ac into the car from around the computer port thing for the eas when the ac was on. Also those pipes were wet around the top. If its ac water it will be clean and non smelly. Apparently other faults can be sunroof leaks or heater o rings (sticky...

    P38 Air Con Drain

Had the same problem. Did searches and everyone said look on Rave. Haven't got that so tried myself. I couldn't see the outlets underneath by the gearbox, so went from the inside. Easy job. On passenger side, look for the triangular vent on the centre tunnel just by the bottom of the glovebox...

    Leaking windscreen

Thought it might be something simple I could do myself before getting the wallet out!

    Leaking windscreen

My 1999 4.6 leaks through the windscreen at the top. Water then soaks the headlining and dribbles down the inside of the windscreen. Noticed it yesterday going through the car wash. Checked the sunroof and it was dry. How do I get the trim off the outside to check and possibly reseal with some...

    EAS again!

Thanks for that. It's a 1999 4.6 Vogue. I don't have access to the computer stuff, so I guess it's off to the dealers. I was hoping someone might know an indie local to me that might save me some cash!

    EAS again!

Hi all, just had the EAS fail. On the M4, it had gone into the 50+ mode and then all the lights on and the "Slow Max speed 35MPH" came on. No warning before that. B**gger! Anyone know of somewhere near Swindon to get it fixed? How much is it going to cost me? Thanks very much.
