"Not sure where you are going to find evidence to support that claim ;)" Any local nick in an inner city area would be a good starting point!

What a hideous crock of $hit!!!

Dont know why you have used my quote so far out of context!!! I did say that only a minority of people there are crims. And the original few quotes about council houses were obviously jokes but since you obviously have no sense of humour you might not understand. My mates wife is old bill and...

Can't get new head unit fitted correctly!!!

Generally the car wiring is all the same and the radio wiring varies. Come across this several times before when fitting stereos and the cure USUALLY is to swap the red and yellow feed wires over. Usually the permenant and switched (positive +) live feeds are reversed. I say usually but get...

    P38 Trim levels.

TBH I have not had a car without wind and skin (AC and leather!) for such a long time (15 yrs?) that I would not even look at one without. I always seemed to wear through the bolster on cloth seats- must be the way I slide in and before anyone says anything Im a skinny ****er not a fat one!!!:)

    P38 Trim levels.

Thank folks. Am looking at a 2.5DT but it has got leather (would not want one without TBH). So it should have manual AC. Will check that out. Might be a good thing looking at the number of post about climate control probs!

    A big thankyou!

Some 70's/80's alfas were made with metal that was actually rusting (at a microscopic level) before the sheet metal had been turned into cars so the the completed car had no hope!!!

Was true once but all Alfas have been (nearly) fully gavanised for many years (mines ten years old and they were doing it before then) so no rust!

What a hideous crock of $hit!!!

And most of our car thieves, vandals, muggers, dole scroungers, (brother in law falls into this catagory!!:D), shoplifters, etc etc etc ...... and get some less rose tinted specs if you really believe otherwise. Personally I dont mind the car though! Bit ott perhaps but hey made you look at it...

Transferring an LPG kit from a Disco to a Rangie?

No they are not. :mad:Ive fitted a few Nitrous kits the cars and an Orange Yamaha XJR bike (that was fun!!). But I would not do an LPG car. Completely different fitting and lot more dangerous if it goes wrong. Nitrous is not inflammable for a start!!!

    Can I escape this penalty?

I got off a speeding ticket once because the copper had put the next days date on it. Phoned them up and said about it and they told me to tear it up and they would cancel it their end...even before I had asked. So I did and never heard a thing.:)

Advise please on P38 2.5 verses Vouge 200tdi?

Dont think so! A lot of people ,when quoting MPG on LPG quote the eqivalent pertol MPG. So if they are getting 16 mpg on lpg and its roughly half the price of petrol then they say they are getting the equivalent to 32 mpg. Normal to get 15% ish less on lpg than on petrol due to lower energy...

big loss of mpg on p38 diesel

I agree. Oil changes in difs, gearboxs and engines, even if all done at the same time with quality lube tend to liberate no more than 5 or 6 horses tops unless the oil was ancient or contaminated. The only time I have seen something similar to the figures claimed here was when new gearbox oil...
