She is late 1997, 91,000 miles, both front and back cause the problem, haven’t got a jack at my present location but as far as I know they are standard fit springs, the back is approx 1 inch higher than the front, they are greenway macho mud/snow terrain...

Is it just a fact of life that my defender will find craters on the smoothest of roads or is there anything i can do to soften the ride just a little so not all my bones, passenges and whatever i happen to have in the back is not shaken to pieces!? It seems an unusually harsh ride! I though at...

Hello people, anyone had any good/bad experiences with the 2" gaz lift kit from britpart. Its for my 1997 defender 90. Also when doin a 2" lift what else, other than the shocks and the springs (obviously! :doh:) do i NEED to change, and what else is advisable. Thanks in advance.

A chap i know is selling some +2" orange springs (scorpion racing) and +2" shocks (de carbon - delphi) all brand new they were bought for a customer of his who then decided he didnt want them fitting. What would they be worth before i ask how much he wants for them? :cool:

Cant see any problems with the pipe or connectors, it appears that the leak it coming from somewhere just above the drop arm as it is leaking over the drop arm and onto the lockwasher which is where its dripping to the floor from. Is there a washer just above the drop arm that could be broken...

Thanks 4 the reply, On closer inspection there is fluid dripping from he base of the pump, does that mean the pump has packed up? :(

Drove my defender 90 all today today and all was fine, now just went to pick up a friend there was a squeal and the power steering has gone making it (rather obviously) bloody hard to steer! Does that mean the pump has gone or the fluid needs topping up? or something else? Please help!!!

I want to change/upgrade the front speakers in my defender as the ones in there are really cheap and crackly. Anyone know from experice which ones work well in the cockpit of the defender as it is pretty noisy!! :D

it tells you in the haynes manual (pop to halfords and read it!), i havnt got mine on me but i will do monday so i will get back to you. You dont want to mess it up tho as i did and now i have no imobiliser coz ime not gna pay 4 a whole new unit at £160!!! :eek:
