    Morning, Looks like i need to replace the transfer box on my disco. Anyone got any suggestions on the best place to buy a re-con one from? I know a few people on ebay are selling, like Emmotts of Colne etc....but not sure where the best place to get one from. Any suggestions?

    Just tried again now the roads are a little quieter. The noise does go away when gearbox in neutral and t/box in neutral.

    Just tried your suggestion Gearbox in neutral = noise still there T/box in neutral = noise gone However I want test again this evening when the roads are quiter so I get a better run at it. Does that mean t/box problem?

    The noise stays the same whilst corning/turning...as long as I'm going faster than 20mph it can be heard. As for the t/box my car is a 2003 td5 Auto and i can only select high or low range...so not sure how I'd get t/box in neutral whilst driving, unless I'm being stupid? As for the tyres it's...

    Ha ha....yes the were used to hang audio. Not with new line arrays though. They were mainly on 3 way bridles etc for the old point source stuff.

    They're called kuplex TL7's from memory. I'll have to check the SWL tomorrow when I get to work but they're at least 2t with a 7.1 ratio. I'm based in solihull and the company we buy from are based in brum.

    They never actually give you the price they offer on line either. When you turn up to do the deal they deduct money for all sorts of things like small scratches etc. Keep away unless you have no other option.
