    i used petrol to flush mine, can get proper stuff but the price is vertical!!! easy job, doesnt take long to actually get it out and back in-its the drying out bit. i had it out most of the day but you don't have to leave it that long :D

    got to the point now where the kids playing football on the street move onto the path even before i turn the corner because they can hear me squeaking up the road!!! tried talc and that halfords sticky belt stuff but no change. a mechanic has had a drive in it and says its not an air leak and...

    watch and feel the hoses when you rev the engine, they should expand a little and firm up. there is a boost gauge you can buy it connects to the hose somewhere i think- it written on this site about it if you search it :)

    still got a circular saw under the bonnet! hoping not -but still thinking its the turbo at fault, ain't had chance to inspectigate any further I've had a lot on- some little t**t broke into the house on Sunday

    should see a little improvement with it-nothing spectacular. that hose should be placed low down on the bumper to draw in cold moist air-not much point in doing that on a landy! behind the grill will be just as good. i fitted a K&N force feed kit to my MGZS (slightly different i know!) one...

    cant see any, the hoses are firming up under pressure. seems a bit loud to be an air leak. anyone know if there should be any movement in the turbo shaft? :confused:

    forgot to add, could the noise be something like a belt tensioner? makes a sound like a circular saw but not all the time, its when the engine is working and revving a bit. take your foot off the gas half an inch it goes away- back on the gas squeaks again! turbo bearing:confused: belt...

    looks like a bodge repair, mine has a pipe there but secure and neatly fastened away not waving all over the engine bay :)

    hello, i posted a thread a bit ago about a squeeking after flushing the intercooler. had everything stripped down again,no air leaks and everything is back together as it should be. starting to think as suggested on here its could be the turbo bearing, it has a little play in it. anyone...

    check the bonnet and doors for movement while your out in the cold, could be just a sensor switch playing up with the wind. :D thought by locking with the key turned the alarm on but not the movement sensors??....dunno.....might be thinking of something else!!!!!!!:o :eek:

    pull out the sensor mount above the passenger front door and check for water, give it a wipe if its damp. also you might want to check for water on the loom connectors under the front passenger seat- discos can get pretty damp!!! :D
