Ran it for 5 cycles & it doesnt even give an indication of trying to fire up. Now the pump just keeps spinning so presumably it's not developing enough pressure for the sensor to tell it to switch off. I'll give it another go this afternoon but don't hold out much hope. Cheers Keith

Yup got the body off & checked the mesh one,it was not blocked so bunged it all back together & still won't run. I have borrowed a Defender that my mate rebuilt from the ground up until mine gets sorted. I swapped the old filter back on last night to eliminate a faulty filter too.

Took mine out to check the internal filters (All clear) & struggled like buggery to get it back in under the pressure from the springs on the pump, is there an easy way to do this minus all the swearing & sweating.....? Keith

I can hear it spinning up but not sure if it's giving enough pressure, I am beginning to suspect the same. I can hear air being sent round the system back to the tank & the filter is refilling when I have taken it off. Bet Santa won't bring me one of those :( Keith

Have the fuel lines been checked near the fuel tank? They chafe through on the chassis hence sucking air & noisy pump/air in fuel line. Gran

It's a TD5,why would CV's only make the noise when cornering?

I have a strange sound emanating from the truck. When I turn a corner I get a sound only described as like dragging an old bog chain across the tarmac ? If I had to guess I'd say wheel bearings but everything feels OK. Any ideas? Keith. p.s. I have checked for old bog chains under the truck :)

Bingo. My mate has just called & the pump is absolutely full of crap, also deader than disco (geddit..) He also thinks I haven't got a leak but it's being chucked out because of the filters being chocker, sound feasible? Keith
