Id like to have a go in a mapped td5, iv got a standard td5 and it doesnt go aswell as people make out! But i did come from a 220-230bhp mini cooper s lol

I have a td5 mate and its not that refined but its my 1st land rover and iv never driven a 300tdi to compare! I miss my speed to though i moved from a tuned magazine featured cooper S :(

For anybody interested, i removed the flange and tweeked the lock nut up, put it all back together and play has gone :D well chuffed

Ok cheers, im going to drop the flange off and check it first, i havent got any noise from the bearing so im hoping it just needs nipping up! Just brought a 52mm box spanner il let you know how i get on saturday

Ok il take the flange off tomorrow and makesure the hub nut is tight but failing that il have to sort a new one! Thanks for the advice!

Right, brought my 04 plate defender 3 weeks ago, looking at receipts it had 2 front wheel bearings 6000 miles ago but the mot i had done showed slight play in one of the wheel bearings?! I have searched but no definitive answer, is there any adjustment in the bearing? Or is it a new one :(

Check chassis, bulkhead and the bottom of the doors for rust Check steering box, engine, gearbox, diffs, swivels and transfer box for major leaks Alot of defenders i looked at had been freshly waxoiled when i went to view, i walked away from all of them as they didnt seem honest

Yeah it was clayed admittedly Lol^ sod payin £60 for the chrome capped ones! I got the wheels + tyres for £150 and £20 for alloy wheel nuts all off flebay :)

Mine does it to, when i got it on the lift at work the n/s rear spring had alot more movement in it (it could be twisted) where as the o/s rear spring was solid! I presume its just the spring thats tired though

I do abit of detailing that is all!

Yes you can replace the park switch without removing the motor, fitted mine today and it has fixed the parking issue and i have intermittent wipe back! The park switch slides upwards off the motor

Mines the same, they park anywhere and have no intermittent:confused:

I put a cap full in so il give it a few days/weeks and report back Ok il take some pics when i get the new latch delivered

Got the latch off, drilled the rivets out of the lock and its broke in several parts inside so iv ordered a new latch :) Checked the ecu and no oil in there so thats good :) Tried a drop of brake fluid in the steering box and its still leaking, iv found a company in birmingham that will supply...
