    Bulgaria - Off Roading Paradise!

Well have a great time - you will be 15km from my house! The weather is very hot and sunny at the mo, 9.30 am here and the temp is 30 deg C. Nessebar is nice but very touristy, Pomorie a few K's further down the coast is very very nice and pretty unspoilt on the coastline. Burgas (south of...

    rear wiper is not working

Sounds a stupid answer - is your drivers door closed? I spent a good half hour looking for the problem with my RWW till i closed the door - DO NOT ask me the logic behind disabling the RWW when the drivers door is open????

    Bulgaria - Off Roading Paradise!

If you go the southerly rout through Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria then im pretty sure there are not issues. The more northerly rout is a problem - however ill ask Gunter (German) who drives it regularly.

    Bulgaria - Off Roading Paradise!

Pretty much NOTHING matters over here! There is a Gun club about 10km from here where we can go shoot AK47's - they dont even ask for your identity card or passport before handing over the gun and ammo. Whilst I think the Qu was lighthearted it a language thing - ALL 4x4's are called "Jeep's"...

Should I just get shut of it???

I am 10km inland due West from Nessebar! I live in a 5 bed villa with pool and my rent is £199 a month :p My village is pretty much the centre of the Bulgarian classic Car scene (which is a lot better then you would have thought - LOTS of very nice stuff!) and thy are building a classic car...

Should I just get shut of it???

Should I just get shut of it???

In as much as I hate working on any car - the Disco is a pleasure to work on - even with the V8 Ive of enough room under the bonnet for an entire family of Badgers. Also lots of nice flat areas to put entire socket sets - not just one socket teetering on the edge of the wing!

    Bulgaria - Off Roading Paradise!

Ive posted this as a result of a little conversation elsewhere on this forum: I live in Bulgaria, near the beach resort of "Sunny Beach" where many of you may have holidayed. The thing that makes Bulgaria so different and such a paradise for you off road guys is there are NO fences, 40% of the...

Should I just get shut of it???

Where did you go - if it was Sunny Beach (it usually is) you were 15km from my house! At 90p for a half pint you were paying tourist prices - in local bars we pay 75p for a PINT! We complain if the cost of a meal for 2 is over £15 with drinks etc!! The reason I have a V8 is cars are VERY...

Should I just get shut of it???

It was more the ones that said: "*&(&^$%^&& thing if it (*&&%$ goes wrong one more time ill )(&&^% it - this is the 6th time in as many weeks!!!!! " That had me worried. Out of interest the OP is IN Bulgaria but I am English - thought id still wager my Bulgarian is better than most on here :p...

Should I just get shut of it???

Some fair points there - I was half expecting "it will be one long never ending story of one repair after another". Im not bothered to have had to spend some cash on it if it now behaves its self - I just didnt want to be repairing things weekly and reading some of the posts left me kinda...

    Removing XS Stickers

Should I just get shut of it???

Hi Serious point. Im nearly at the end of the list of important repairs on my D1 V8. It is a 1999, no rust vehicle form Gibraltar with 50k Mls on it and full MD service history. We live in Bulgaria and this is needed to keep our business running through the harsh winters here. I have no...

A Footwell full of water on a hot sunny day!

Finally found it on this thread "Discovery 1995 ES Water Ingress Passenger Footwell" - Which was the last thread in the list - typical! Ill re post if it turns out NOT to be the aircon drain pipes!

    Fecking Discovery!

My rear sunroof was leaking very badly - It had a new seal in and still water was pouring in. Turned out that previously some prat must have stood on the sunroof as it now sits in a 1" depression. Which obviously fills with water and leaks round the outer edge not through the glass seal. A...

A Footwell full of water on a hot sunny day!

Yesterday we got home and the passenger foot-well was soaking wet - note as this is a LHD thats the UK drivers side. You will hate me for this but we have had no rain for a month here in Bulgaria so its not a leak as in water entering the vehicle. Also it is not under the dash area where it...
