I'm having a little trouble identifying which difflock linkage to get due to me not being able to find the serial number anywhere on my transfer box. It's not in the places where it should be and can't be found anywhere. Is anybody able to identify which one I need, the first 2 pics are my box...
I'm looking for the bit highlighted below but can only see it as part of a kit, Anybody know where I can buy just this part? don't want to pay 50 quid when I only need that 1 bit.
Another pic of it as part of the kit.
Call the AA? I've at times had a problem with my car that I couldn't diagnose so I just drove my car a little bit from home then called the AA. They told me what was wrong
Couldn't recommend anybody but are you sure you ain't broken a wire going to the starter motor as it's near the down pipe, also check the starter solenoid.
Ah, okey bud , thanks :D rebuild is nearly done, just waiting on new fuel tank, , brake pipes and fuel line, I burnt through the fuel return pipe when welding the footwellsand I accidentally cut my brake line when grinding down my chassis welds :D
After taking out the drive shaft and now going to replace it I've forgotten which end goes where, does the small end with the sleeve and gaiter go to the transfer box end of the axel end?
I just put my gearbox back in, and the clutch works this time :) I put the transfer box back in this morning and I just want to double check that these bits are supposed to spin freely, both ends where the drive shaft attaches to.
Making some progress, cut and bent some metal to plate over the rusty old foot wells :).

I just got to weld them in, might have it done tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on :)
Also managed to get a bottle of Argon off a friend, flux just weren't good...
Going to get the welding done tonight hopefully. I kinda sliced my finger open with the Angle Grinder, only 4 stitches which weren't to bad but it kinda put a stopper on any works due to it being on my dominant hand.
If they have sent you the wrong item then they have to stump up the postage costs to send it back, on another note I've been using Brit Car for a while now and they are great. Never had a problem and they use DPD also which is also a bonus for any company :)
