Are you losing sparks under pressure? Try running it up in the dark and spraying the leads with a squirty bottle of water (the finer the spray the better) if its leads you will see the sparks jump to earth. Have you got the right coil for the luminition kit? i got one on my mini and it stated...

Something like the piper max torque jobbie? I would go the 4.6 crank/rods route, but will my current ecu have a flid about the extra capacity or is it the same map for both engines?

I had this with mine. it seems to be the plastic coating comes off the internal mech and stops it locking into place. You have to get all the chipped and split plasti-coat out of the mech then it should lock again. Took hours to do this, so be prepared to spend a fair amount of time on it!

Arent the Laguna pumps induction motors though? ie no actualy shaft coming out to the impellor.......... If thats the case then its a burnt out coil, nothing you can do with it.

Hi David, I'm not worried about having it built, I'm adept at attacking things with a soldering iron (day job lol) Just the programming of the IC fazes me ;)

If its sitting right down on its bump stops then it wont inflate as the height switches seem to turn the pump off. Had the very same thing with mine, so i jacked up the rear to about normal height then started the engine and shut doors..... Give that a go.

I've got access to a T4 Dave so dont need to get one. On closer inspection it seems i do have the 3 amigos but some dumb c*nt has taped over the lights on the dash board!!! So, I had the codes read and it was front right ABS sensor too large air gap......we cleared that and it was ABS'ing all by...

Well here we go chaps, I had the codes read on a T4, it said front right sensor too large airgap (Historical). So we took the wheel off etc and removed sensor, cleaned the build up of **** out of the reluctor ring and then cleared the fault codes. Voila no ABS light, now goes out as it...

Hi guys, any thoughts on why my ABS light would be on? Its on its own TC and HDC are working as normal ie come on and go off with ignition. It looks as though its had rear sensors recently.......... Going to get brain read shortly so will feed that back soon! :confused:

That is a late 90's MPI cooper (one of the last 500 looking at the plate!) tres dodgy. Same goes for the Defender too!!!

So I finally got round to looking under the front and there it was, 2 clamps on the dodgy trackrod end, happys days!!!!
