    Could be your diff, you said it changes pitch. Is this when you change gear if so probz your diff. But could also be wheel bearing as mine was similar. Good luck

    Well I'm wondering if the threads gone as bottom bolt I could undo with me hands. Done the bolt up for the time being til I get new gasket so will see if it comes loose again. If so can it be rethreaded

    Thanks for all the advice folks the beasty is alive and kicking for now :D Turned out to be dodgey dizzy cap. As for the coolant pressure i took the top hose of the rad which goes in to the top of engine. There was no water in there unlike last time i took it off water ****ed out. So could this...

    Fitted a new coil still no joy. Ordered a ignition module for it to be the wrong one (2 pins instead of 3) am i right in thinking you can get a cable to convert from 3 pins to 2 pins

    How much you looking for Zen. Im hoping that it is just the HG. Is this a big job as would like to do it meself to keep costs down. Just had a look at the beasty and there is slimey/sludgey stuff in the coolant tank so im guessing its HG.

    Could i have a liner slipped/cracked as spoke to local garage who told me 3.5 and 3.9's were bullet proof i.e no liner problems but i thought that was just 3.5's. He also said if it was a liner then me engine is shagged. Can you get replacment liners or has it got to be a whole new block. cheers

    I did only check the one plug. It doesnt seem to lose coolant just built up pressure even just turning it over. Could it be i over filled the coolant tank. I always thought HG causes serious misfire/power loss which it seems to be fine in that department. In the peugoet i had that used to ****...

    :) your not the only one. The spark was yellow and did look weak. If it is the head gasket could that stop it from firing. I did have a peugoet once and the head gasket went but it still kept going. Cheers
