    Headlight upgrade

As both relays are next to each other I could move two wires over and have the dipped work from the main relay. Or, as said, I could reach under my wing and plug the original wiring back in. Neither of which would take for than a min. Then if I really got desperate I could just swap the dipped...

    Headlight upgrade

Been there, done that. http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/1-candle-power-proper-lights-253585.html Don't need four relays as original cabling is still in place so moving one plug back would give me the old lights back.

    'Greenlaning' in Oman

The beach is at Mirbat near Salalah. We were there for a diving trip and a visit to the BATT house. Nice clear water and sand whiter than Muscat way. Filled my Landy with £70 worth of uneaded a few days ago. This is a bit of a problem as it is a 300tdi. If your Landy costs a fortune to...

    'Greenlaning' in Oman

Lived in Muscat for 15 years. Would still be there if wasn't for personal circumstances. Crossing the Wahiba Sands is good as it takes three days and you see nothing but sand. The Musandam is spectacular but the road to Salalah is boring. Country's good for a bit of scuba as well...

    Puma won't start help

When our TDCi decides to do the same we have to lock and unlock it using the fob three times. It doesn't seem to like being left unlocked for too long.....

    Comfy Cushion in my Puma

Could do with something like that as I find the factory top too low to rest my elbow on in the wifes Puma. In my 300Tdi the lockable box is just the right height.

    Pipe bender advice

Got one of them.....except mine does not have the legs, it sits on casters instead. I brought it back from the Middle East when I came back in Feb. It is still wrapped in bubble wrap at my dads. If anyone wants to borrow it they are welcome to give it a try.

    What shall I buy 90 td5 hard top or a 110 td5 double can

As pretty as it is my Double Cab is not so useful as you might think. It's great for me to go diving in as all the wet stuff goes in the boot and the water can drip out on the way home. The tailgate makes a great seat to sit down on when you put your equipment on as well. However if I and the...

    rangie still broke

...and a lot of cars pump for 5 seconds when you turn the ignition on but then stop until the car is cranked. You are not chasing a non-existent fuel pump problem are you? You did say that the pump ran when you put 12v on it so the pump works. I quote.... In contrast to more modern engine...

    rangie still broke

Is this one of those engines where if the crank position sensor dies the injectors don't inject so the engine does not flood? Does it have a crank or cam position sensor?

Do all R380s have the same final drive?

So....it is just my imagination. Both old and new transfer boxes have a sticker that says 1.410 on them. Would swear it is slower off the mark with the new gear/transfer box in though.....and the wife thinks so too.

Do all R380s have the same final drive?

Not really slow just slower than I remember It still makes 70 on the motorway, just takes longer to get there. Back home on Sunday so let me confirm it is a disco box incase it is all in my imagination.

Do all R380s have the same final drive?

Thanks folks....... Will have a check tomorrow now I know what I am looking for. Might as well change the oils while I am there. The boxes have done 500 miles since swapping so new oil won't do them any harm.

Do all R380s have the same final drive?

OK....if the sun comes out I will slide under and have a look. The old one is in the garage. What am I looking for to know the difference? Neil

Do all R380s have the same final drive?

So the slow off the mark could be because I have been buzzing around in an MG Midget while the Landy was repaired. A Landy would feel slow after that. ....and it could be a V8 box which would explain the lower revs. Have to do a mileage check and see if I am getting any more mpg. I could get...
