    Seat belt anchor

I am after a drivers side seat belt anchor (the part that receives the buckle) for a 1998 110 CSW. This is the part that bolts to the seat box using 2 bolts and holds the lap belt for the middle front set if fitted. Mine has broken the plastic surround around the part that latches which I am...

    Bodywork bubbling

I think they changed the construction (though not the shape) to galvanised steel from the first of the TDCI's so they don't corrode. I may be wrong but someone will be along in a minute to correct or confirm

Can I expect more than 300 miles from a Td5?

I have a 1998 300 TDI 110CSW and that always gets to 400 miles from full to the start of the red, or 365 miles running at a constant 70mph on motorway as it was this weekend. Works out around 28-30 mpg so pleased with that.

    Rusted door replacements

The bad news is it does seem there are a lot of people looking for 'bargain' doors and that is likely to keep s/h prices high. When I got my 110 I thought the doors were pretty rotten but having seen some others still in service changed my view and will take my time to find replacements rather...

    Busy weekend ahead,whats your plans?

pulling the wheels this weekend to check the brakes as I think it is pulling up to the right. Done the offside and they look good, pins all move, pistons coming out even and pads half done. Need to spin it around the other side (I park against a hedge) and check the nearside tomorrow...

    Wipers

Spook try taking the drivers side arm off the spline and refit it raising it slightly. I had the same problem and this worked for me. Just one or two extra splines made all the difference and after driving around in the rain most of today I appreciated the difference.

    Land Rover Respray in Kent

Not sure where in Kent you are and it is a big county but if you are over in the western side I have used Edenbridge Accident and Repair for some of my other vehicles, including the re-spray of most of my motorcycles. They are not LR specialists but have done a few LR chassis repairs (rear...

    Underseal Choices

If money is tight and you are into recycling you could always use old engine oil, a hand garden sprayer and an old paint brush. Don't use diesel engine oil if you can help it as it stinks and Just make sure cover your driveway........or you could just ignore this and buy any of the fine products...

    Steering wheel cancel pegs?

It fits around the column on a tight taper. I bought my TD5 steering wheel from Bankz5152 on here and he had removed the metal cancel ring so I just removed mine before selling the 2 spoke on. As I recall it didn't seem obvious that it was a separate part and it took some effort to get it...

    Steering wheel cancel pegs?

The two spoke ones have a metal ring on the back that slides over the back of the central column so it is a separate part. I sold one recently and removed the ring so I could fit it to a TD5 steering wheel I was putting on my TDI. They are out there and you might be best tracking down a rough...

    Defender 90 TD5 MPG :D

Josh I remember your 90 from when I picked up your old steering wheel and it is carrying a few high taste extras and I know you like to rev it so the mechanicals must be in good health. Currently getting 31 mpg according to Fuelly.com on my 300 TDI 110 CSW so well pleased too. David

    Been given a Land Rover!

Personally I would go the V8 route. I had an S3 109 with a 2.25 petrol and though it is a lovely smooth engine is slow and thirsty. My view is the V8 is certainly not slow and manages to get close to the 2.25 in mpg. Alternatively you could sell the 90 or trade it for something LEZ compliant?

    Sorted diff lock today

Thanks for posting this on here L-P as I have been investigating difflock on here as the light is not coming on. Haven't investigated it yet beyond checking the bulb but before I start checking the linkage is there a way to check if difflock is engaged with the wheels on the ground?

    Mega Rant.

Welcome to Land Rover ownership. Before I bought mine my grinder and Dremel gathered dust at the bottom of my toolbox. Now they will at the top!! and mine wasn't a boat launch like yours. Did my rear dampers last weekend so my heart goes out to you!!

    Judder starting off

Between the engine and gearbox. Can harden with age and loose elasticity then lets a little oil past onto the clutch causing a judder on take off until the clutch cleans it off. Some Forte seal conditioner added to the engine oil may resolve it if that is the problem?
