Advice on door repairs please

Hi all
Does anyone have any pics or advice ect on how to rebuild Defender doors ??
I have only recently purhased my first landy and want to get stuck in, and learn as much as I can.


Next step learn to weld

First step is to learn to weld, and then go out and buy yourself some repair channel,

Bend the ally skin back, remove the rotted section, weld in the new, treat with sikkflex, bend the ally back over your new frame, and job done!

Alternatively, the 'Search' button and Google are your friends.

Find my thread called, "Defender Bodywork Rebuild" it was a whole body off bodywork rebuild (chassis and mechanicals had been done a couple of years earlier) with new doors and a full respray - some info on my door rebuild there including welding the frame, having it galvanised and fitting a new skin.
