that makes perfect sense to me i'll check that. the noise was coming from the hub area not the diff. does anyone know the main reason why the transfer box will not engage anything is there a particular type of failure that will cause this, it almost as if the engine isnt running does it rely on...

i've found a well mantained disco 300tdi attached to an autobox what are my options here. wack in the 300tdi with an R380 from a defender or if i got the engine and autobox attached is this a possible conversion. can someone run all the technicalities past me for any options i.e what i'll need...
