hi mate when i do this kinda stuff i put some old rags in the bore with a light coat of oil on em, then i cover the face of the block with some clothes ( old tea towels or something alike ). i've never had any trouble doing this and i rebuild lots of engines every year. good luck with your head.

hi i have a m reg 300tdi manual, not sure which gearbox is in lt77 or r380. the gear lever in neutral sits between 1st and second gear, all other cars i have sit between 3 and 4 is this normal or does anyone know whats up and how do i fix it? thanks

still missfiring a bit in the morning with the new plugs but nowhere near as much, so have fitted a new injector with new sealing ring today will see what happens in the morning.

my disco is m reg and think its still on original springs and shocks, its bouncy and is listing abit to one side. so time for new springs shocks and all new bushes, dont want to really lift it up so have been looking at the britpart heavy duty standard height suspension kit has any got these on...
