    Honest opinion on LPG

the point is a single one on mine and at 150k, no problems. back in the 80's i was a mechanic for my local ambulance service and the whole fleet ran on lpg, they were mainly transit's with the essex v6 engine, the were a primative single point system, we fitted them and serviced them and they...

    is my viscus coupler siezed?

from what i can see, i would say not, as you can turn it by hand, it does have a limited amount of slip to allow for the differnt speeds between the front and rear axles, when theyturn at greater speeds, the gel like substance inside then locks it up so power is then split equal.

WTF?!? - Explain this one then.....

I have read through Rave and looked at the wiring diagrams, there are no separate relays for the indicators like i thought there may be, the indicators are all fed from the BECM, so it could be damp inside the unit. All the alarm system is controlled by it, i would take the BECM out and...

WTF?!? - Explain this one then.....

Whoa!!! thats a good one, it would bug the hell out of me. maybe the becm, i would be looking towards the area that controls the lights that activate when locking and unlocking, not sure what they are triggered off, primerily throught the becm, but i would then think it then feeds some alarm...

key battery low /p38 range rover

If the key fob light is not comming on every time you press it, sounds to me like the key fob is at fault. Before you go and buy a second ahnd one off ebay, some one will correct me if i am wrong, but they can not be programed to your vehicle, it will have to be a dealer part only and the they...

i did not have any problems like that, the only thing i had to do was put the radio code in as the battery had been disconnected, some may say you might have to do a re-sync, oh had to set the windows, but that is just open and close in one action on the buttons.

    Throttle position sensor

What makes you think its the throttle position sensor, have you have it on a diagnostic machine, there are neumerous things that could be causing it. If you have not had it on a machine, i would recommend it as money spent on that will save you money in the long run, if you just start...

key battery low /p38 range rover

Had the message come up on mine a couple of weeks ago, replace the batteries in the fob, and it has been good since, did not have to clear any fault codes. Did not need the EKA code, it does say in the handbook that the batteries need to repalced within 1 minute of removing the old ones...

    Off-Roading/Winches

I personally think the main benefit of a P38 offroad capability is the air suspension, coil kits don't react as well to aid traction and if you bottom out with coil springs, you are stuck and will need your mate or winch, but with the air suspension the computers know when the car is grounded...
