I need to remove the steering wheel off my 90.... due to having to replace the indicator switch:mad:. I've removed steering wheels in the past with no trouble, but this bugger won't budge! I tried some thin lube on it.. but no joy. It's not a standard wheel, but on off those smaller jobbys...

Having just go hold of a mig welder - is there any reason why I can't weld a piece of box section inplace of all rot? I was thinking of cutting so that It fit over the hinge holes ( as there pretty bad too), and allowing for drainage holes. Seems to this would be the simplest, and strongest...

If you were going to pop in some Forte Gearbox Treatment, would you use the manual or auto stuff - for a manual box using ATF fluid?

Griffdowg I reckon mine could do with adjustment too - they get quite rattly if I need to work the engine. If your down this way, we could meet up and do both.:)
