You can run an engine flush (such as wynns) through just before you change the oil, but i would do the filter at the same time just incase it dislodges any deposits.

Very handy video. Had to do mine a while ago and was a ball ache from start to finish. The torx bit holding the disc on had been rounded off so impact driver was needed. Remember, anti-seize compound is your friend, should make it easier next time.

I had when I first got mine. Put it on max and it was like an asthmatic snail. Took both cabin filter covers off and there was that much crud and rubbish built up it was horrendous. New filters and a goot blast with the vacuum and all good.

That ad does look extremely dodgy, doesnt say anything about the car, problems, dinks etc. I'd steer well clear, plus zero feedback too. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I'm sure the sat nav/dvd unit lives in the wheel arch space, iirc the eas compressor lives in the spare wheel well. It does sound like something is shorting and I've read posts that the likely culprit is in hte back by the sat nav unit, as someone else mentioned.
