    Rear Shocks Question

I suspect I am answering my own question here, but your input would be appreciated.... My '94 Vogue SE with EAS passed its MOT yesterday (another step nearer to her 20th year!) and the only advisory was a slight 'misting' of the rear shocks. I was wondering if this goes some way to explaining...

    Seat Recline Problem

Thanks for the suggestions, Kev. At this point I am willing to try all possible solutions, so I'll give it a go. Many thanks

    Seat Recline Problem

*BUMP* Anybody had any experience with this issue?

    Seat Recline Problem

Having spent most of the morning with my head buried in the footwell of my '94 Vogue SE and cursed Haines with every bit of colourful language I know for giving the job only '1 spanner', I am waiving the white flag and asking for your help please. The base of the electric seats works in every...

    Very loud noise from transmission

Turns out it was the rubber coupling on the prop shaft, which was well and truly knackered. Lucky escape. Fingers crossed that's it for expenditure for now.... MOT coming up in November though...

    Very loud noise from transmission

My '94 V8 Auto has developed a VERY loud vibrating/buzzing noise which seems to be coming from the transmission/diffs. It is OK when idling or if the engine is revved in neutral but when in gear, as soon as it gets above about 1500rpm it gets louder and louder and 50mph+ it is almost deafening...

    Breakdown - Transmission Fluid Leak

Thanks for the replies, gents. Thankfully, the pipes have been repaired and after a decent road test, the autobox seems to be absolutely fine *PHEW*. The brake pads need doing, as one was absolutely drenched in the transmission fluid but I think they were on their way out anyway so that's no bad...

    Breakdown - Transmission Fluid Leak

    Yep, it's a '94 Vogue SE Auto 3.9 V8 on airsprings.

    Breakdown - Transmission Fluid Leak

Well the RAC membership finally proved worth having last night on the way back to London from Birmingham.... I suddenly felt a loss of drive whilst travelling down the M1 and was fortunately passing the Northampton exit, so managed to limp off the motorway and into a lay-by. I also noticed the...

    Subwoofer Problems

Thanks all for the replies. Looks like I have a bit more investigation to do on this. The towing suggestion would make sense, as it has a towbar all set up

    Subwoofer Problems

I finally got round to looking at the subwoofer in my '94 'softdash' and as the poor stereo quality suggested, the thing is not working at all. I have removed the cover, checked the fuse (which is fine) and the wires look OK, but I didn't have the right tools with me to get to the inner cover...

    RRC forum?

I would certainly be keen to see a separate forum for RRC's. The groups can be useful, but not much help to newbies who are not aware of them or not members. Who do we speak to to see if we can make this happen?

    Anyone Fancy A Pub Meet??

I cannot make the 10th but would definitely be up for a meet later in the spring/summer. To anyone else who is 'umming and ahhhing' about it - get involved. As a former Alfa owner the forums were an invaluable source of info for keeping the thing on the road (much the same as the RRC!!) and...

Replacing bulbs in the dash switches?

Cheers Mike, I'll give the WD40 a try on the seat adjustors and see if that helps. What's odd is that the non-working switches (tilt) seem to engage and there is an audible 'click' coming from under the seat, which suggests to me that the switches are engaging and maybe the motors have gone? I...

Replacing bulbs in the dash switches?

I noticed mine were very hot too, I should follow suit. I have ordered the small bulbs for the 4 dash buttons that needed them as well as the one for the clock - they really were a bu99er to get out but hopefully they go in easier. The seats are next up for a bit of work; the do not heat up...

Replacing bulbs in the dash switches?

I finally got round to doing this at the weekend - makes a nice difference. Thanks all for the help and pointers - cheers.

My Range Rover Classic expedition project (ongoing, pics etc)

I am West Country-bound this weekend, but I'll let you know if I am out your way anytime soon. There must be some decent green laning opportunities in the Chilterns. Thanks for the heated seat tips. I was also going to follow the ever useful rangerovers.net guidance on the issue: Heated Seat...

My Range Rover Classic expedition project (ongoing, pics etc)

I did indeed thanks Mike and had a blast back up the A40 into town, really nice to have it back (with its MOT cert.) although the weather this morning reminded me that I really need to sort my heated seats out before winter kicks in properly. Looking forward to having a good run in it at the...

My Range Rover Classic expedition project (ongoing, pics etc)

Yes, I just got the call to say it was ready but I cannot make it up there tonight so will be heading up there tomorrow instead. Been a few weeks without it, so looking forward to having a good blast in it tomorrow. My reg ends in 'GPV' if you do see it about. He also had a blue LSE up there...

My Range Rover Classic expedition project (ongoing, pics etc)

Did you see mine up there, Mike? Same colour, year as yours etc. Passed the MOT, just bump stops and ball joint needed sorting to get it through.
