MATE THANKS ALOT just watched the link and noticed 2 wires 1 each side the block connector I know mine as only got one and I remember seeing a black wire with no were to go I'll have a look at weekend when I'm home.

its an 'e' reg I think the problem is the power going down both wires

can anyone help, just rebuilt my defender 90 got all the electrics working except a small problem with the hazards, they work ok but the green light on the dash doesn't light up. it lights up when using the indicators, there are two wires to the bulb when I put the left indicator on one wire...

finally got the engine in couldn't get my hands on a engine hoist so I used ratchet straps to lift it :scratching_chin:

one side was a pre-cut piece but I had to cut it up and add a bit to it, welding was a nightmare I kept blowing holes because it was only 1mm thick and the old steel was rusty inside so was even thinner, a bit of research on youtube showed me to hold the welder at a angle rather than strait at...

there was a woman with a camera crew filming 4x4's and bikes going on green lanes she was saying how they was destroying the lanes and she couldn't ride her horse so they have stopped all motor traffic using the lane I think it was tideswell in Derbyshire.

finally finished welding the chassis now to start wire brushing it ready for priming

still welding chassis seems like I weld one hole and find another two. payed £2500 for the landy £1300 for a defender engine god nows how much for the weld wire and gas not even drove it yet.
