Fuel pump, How much pressure should it have?

Hi. I replaced my fuel pump by cutting a hole under the back seat. Now it takes me about 5 min to replace the fuel pump. Have a look at Fuel Pump Access, Replacement and Rebuild ing. That is where I got the idea of cutting the hole.

    Steering wheel shake

Hi. I'm not to familiar with the Classic, as I have a P38, but have you checked the steering damper? I had a shudder on my steering. Took it to have the joints checked and all seemed fine. I then spoke to a Rangie spares shop and they said I must checked the damper. Fitted 2 and all my problems...

    She Made It!!

Hi I just finished a 6000km (3700 Miles) trip. We did mostly untarred roads and lots of very deep sand. The car didn't give any problems other than normal maintenance. We had 190lt petrol, 75lt water and all the other camp goodies in the car. I think the car was a bit overloaded, as it tended...

P38 4.6hse, location of serial port in car

Hi The car does not come with a serial port. You have to look under the glove box. You will find a OBD plug there. Open that cover and solder a seriel plug to the back of the OBD. It is very easy to do. You can have a look at Range Rovers. They have all the answers.

    Which Disco to buy?

I'm a fan of a V8, but think the diesel will do better when wading. Nothing beets a V8 in sand.

    Which Disco to buy?

I don't think a V8 with a suspension mod needs lockers. The diesel is underpowered, so will need the lockers to keep up. As it will be a toy, I don't want to spend more than SAR35000 excl mods.

P38 Worst range Rover to own?

Hi all Had my P38 now for a year. Just did a 6000km trip with no mayor problems. I'm NOT a mechanic, but am able to do all the work myself. I even linked it up to my pc to reset the ECU. I also find that everybody who owns one love it. It is a bit disappointing off road, so I will buy a Disco...

    Voltage loss

My P38 losses power on the batt. It sometimes stands for 3-4 days with no problems. Other times the batt dies overnight. I have a 20w, 2.5A solar panel fitted. It might be the wireless signal problem, but I'm not sure how much power the system uses while picking up wireless items. I have just...

    Upgrade/downgrade?

The thermal sensor on the pump went, so I bypassed it. I also had the pump serviced, but don't know what they did. The problem seem to be the condition of our roads. Lots of potholes. So every time I go through one, the fuse blows. I think it is due to the temp extra weight on the suspension...
