sorted thanks but i left it running for a while .and now i think i have run out of fuel on one of the tanks it just stopped might have to bleed the system . bloody twin tanks and no fuel gauge . its to dark now so will have to wait. got to find out how to bleed it first cheers

hi all just bought a new heater plug resistor . however have noticed the old one all the wires go to one terminal on it as the coil is snaped on the old one would i be right in thinking this has been done to bridge the coil . and do i just wire the new one up with the one wire to the heater...

yes seen them in a electrical book .just taking to much time on the clocks so doing other jobs that can be done a bit quicker .will go back to them later when i have had a think about them .back at work now so will have to wait untill monday . cheers

hi all given up on the electrics for now . i have just got a 200 tdi air box to replace the oil bath filter as i want to fit a second battery in its place to aid starting on the cold mornings .i have read some posts about fitting this air box .but i have tryed and cant find a place to fit it...

looking in the haynes manual at the wiring diagram it seems i have a positive earth one as from the back of the fuel gauge there is a wire up to the wiper moter .my battery earth connects to the engine block and the side of the rad housing .poss side goes to heater plugs then round to alternater...

right then have been out all afternoon trying to sort out the wiring .part of the loom under the bonnet has been cut off execpt one which goes to the oil filter .then 2 thin wires and one thick one left hanging down .withno visable connections. have taken the wires of fuel tank can only see one...

well took about an hour to get the nearside front wing off tonight only thr three bolts on top of the wings snaped all the rest came out good with a bit of gental persuasion .will get it all cleaned up and a couple of small patche welded on this week . just hope the other side comes off as easy

will give it a go . just got to get the wings off first need to do one side in a day as i like to use the landrover for work .and taking the dogs out so i dont wont it of the road for to long cheers

been thinking about doing that with a jogler looked a a post the other day on here and the guy had made a nice neet job . but his welding skills are also better than mine . cheers

yeh thanks for that storm nice one thanks james hopfully long enough to plate the corners of the foot wells got to get the steel first its just the bottem corners .but when you start digging it always get worse cheers

how do you upload a pic with your post

job done just uploaded pics to gallery ends need finnishing .but gonna have to get some gas for the mig cant grt on with that gas lees wire .it just seems to make the welder pulse and cant get a clean weld .it might also help if i knew how to use it properly cheers
