    Rust and tears...

I'm impressed! I'm out for work from 7am till 7pm and don't have a garage or even a drive so i'm not far off you ;) Looks like it's time to learn to weld!

    Rust and tears...

Thanks Lazydog! As i mentioned at the start of the thread, i started out with the intention of fitting my new bull bar - however the mounts seem completely wrong. Am i missing a bracket to attach the bottom of the bars to the bumper mounts, or is this bull bar for a completely...

    Rust and tears...

Thanks for the link, i'll see what quotes i get for the urgent MOT related work, then look into doing the rest myself. The Green Hornet/Mr Noisey thread has inspired me to do a full restoration job when time and finances allow! Does anyone know if the YRM metal complete headlight unit...

    Rust and tears...

Thanks, so this is where the tears start! Obviously looking at new inner wing panel, headlight unit and battery tray. Does the YRM metal headlight unit include the mounting point? The angle is wrong in the pic and you can probably tell i haven't much experience in this area.. Off to get some...

    Rust and tears...

Hi all, I decided to brave the cold and fit my newly aquired bull bar today and opened a can of worms in the process. To start with, I removed the apron and end caps from the bumper, to allow me to mount the bar. This is what I found under the plastics... Obviously some panels are...

Wiring in driver's foot well causing trouble, what is there.

"1- Can an engine start with fuel pump not working ? I thought it would, just not run well." No, it can't. If the pump isn't working, then the fuel system can't pressurise and the engine stalls. In fact the procedure to de-pressurise the fuels system is to unplug the fuel pump relay, start...

    Exhaust fun and games

Thanks for the tips, im more than happy to give it a go myself to save that much cash! I just dont have the kit to tap the head to manifold bolt. Regarding the manifold to downpipe, any tips for getting the bolts free? I have heard heat helps, I dont have an oxy torch but would I get similar...

    Exhaust fun and games

They said the head has to come off a) to get sufficent clearance to drill and tap the manifold bolt that sheared inside the head and b) because they have to send it away to do rather than doing it in house. Initially i was going to just do the rear section, butt hen i saw the service schedule...

    Exhaust fun and games

The rear silencer fell off my D1 V8 recently, which made me think it was about time i gave the exhaust some attention. £300 lighter, I had a replacement after market full system on it's way. When i collected it from the garage that supplies the parts and also fits them, I was warned about...

    LPG help required please.

have you tried Tinley Tech Limited Autogas conversion equipment ? They do a range of replacement small (36L) petrol tanks that go directly under the petrol filler cap under the side bodywork, so you can remove the main petrol tank and replace with a circular LPG tank. Expensive, but will...
