Put a thermostat and gasket on landy 90 (200tdi) ran it for about 15 miles, temp gauge off the chart, looked under bonnet and water is pouring out of header tank at a rate of knots. Diagnosis by my mechanic mate (after testing the thermostat) is that its not opened up leaving the water nowhere...

Please can anyone give me a list of the parts I would need to fit power steering? Have old 90 with 200tdi but pas wasn't put in when converted - am aiming to source second hand parts from my local scrappy and get my mate to put it in for me. Can anyone put a list together for me? :):)

Welcome David, having just took the plunge myself with an old 90 I can tell you that its 'interesting..' You need to keep an eye on them and fix whatever goes wrong as it can lead to other 'interesting' issues. Get your cliche book at the ready, you're going to need it! :):)

Found one advertised on here for £2750, its a 1987 County with 200tdi fitted and looks good. Am so wary of buying a lemon, trying to persuade my mate to come with me, he knows what he's looking at whereas I'm just a keen to learn pleb. Will let you know how I get on with it.
