Hi folks today the alarm started to play up drivers door not popping up or down and getting a loud double beep when lock activated , up till today all locks popped and there was no sound, so not sure if its supposed to beep when locking or not lol, any thoughts thanks : )

hi guys got hold of a new servo vacuum pump for 97 300tdi disco, as the old one ****ing oil ,just wondered if some one could talk me through the process of changing it : ) will be keeping the old to see if i can repair it with new seals and drilling out the rivets etc

ok thanks, can some one confirm that its the same unit fitted to defenders and disco 300tdi because obviously this one was meant for an mod defender : )

just heard from the seller. all he can tell me is that it is military stock for a 300tdi , its a wabco err3539A , these i know were the origional make fitted , just trying to find out if its the right one , as i say craddocks do the same one same make but the number is err3539G

Hi guys just a quicky got a vacuum pump leaking oil badly, found oem on craddocks err3539g, but also come across some where else same make but the number on it is err3539a, anyone shed any light on the differnce between a and g ?:)

no they were built in june 1992, only 150, with factory fitted twr kit

hi guys sorry to keep going ;), got a 65A alt on order, again was told i need an 80A for air con etc , but then found this on the work sheet for my vehicle , first column second item up, just wondering if this is the alt? if so it was factory fitted with 65A...

To be fair i changed the regulator , not where the diodes are though it would appear ;)

are there not three wires soldered to the pack from behind near the threaded pole pieces?

just been out and done the earth test with jump lead and no difference so thats it i guess diode pack or new alternator

ok thanks got it :) will go for the diode pack, thats obviously a alternator off the car job, am i right in understanding there will be some soldering involved

Sorry im getting confused, is it worth trying the earth from battery negative terminal to the manifold to see if the charging light goes off therefor indicating a bad earth somewhere in the circuit , or are we saying that after fitting a new regulator pack and its still wrong then a newe...
