i think the fans are automatically controlled when the aircon is switched on so it might be your switch that is dicky, usually the fans are controlled by a pressure switch but the press switch on these aparently only disengages/re-engages the compressor clutch

i had a good look round but the car was wetish in the dark so hopefully the weekend will show it up, i'm thinking the fuel meter may be misreading, is there any way to look in the tank and check its working ok and if if got more more/less fuel than i should have,

after searching on here there is little info about fuel leaks for the 300. my missus uses the disco on a round trip of 45miles daily which uses roughly 10litres a day, this week weve noticed its using double that, ive had a look round and apart from a damp fuel filter which was replaced 2 weeks...

theres an ats in berwick, not the cheapest but could order anything you want i'd guess.

mines a 300 but same principle, they tend to suck air around the fuel fiter bleed screw, the problem with mine was a tyred starter motor, i put a second hand one in and its usually instant now, might be worth checking the earth to the starter motor

i'd say if your looking to do off roading then the mileage wont matter so long as it works and is road legal, have you tried facing uphill when putting into lowbox as the manual says you can get 'windup' and rolling backwards can relieve it,

ok ive repaired all the split ends and fitted the 'tee' piece where it should be but still no joy, if i suck on the pipe at the pump end the engine revs which suggests its something electrical now, if i press the down button i hear a click under the passenger seat but nothing with the up button...

ahh i thought it might work like that, funnily its got a straight connector half way on the pipe between the brake and the actuator so someones been messing before. thanks for your help

did you see any smoke from the exhaust as it will be burning oil if the turbo seals are leaking, also isnt there a breather that goes into the intercooler pipes so you'll always have a bit of oil in there, (correct me if im wrong)

nothing really except the clothes might get wet now and then :p
