pull the blank out under the clock or the switch unit for cruise control if you got it from under clock and there is a little metal spring pin thaat needs unhooking then you caan get your fingers behind clock and push it out , bulb is a one piece job complete with holder , DLS sell em on ebay ...

forget the gaylander , they look ****e they eat parts , they've got poor ground clearance for your rough trails and rockybottomed river crossings , go for D3 much sleeker more accessories available etc

seen a video somewhere o youtube of a series 3 half track that went pretty much wherrever you pointed it ....

sell the gaylander to someone and buy a proper landrover :D:welcome:

the expensive spring is only £5 and there was an article in the march 2009 LRO mag showing you how to do it if that helps , did my boot door spring couple of weeks ago and would advise you take couple of pics first so you can see where everything attaches to when you come toput it back together...

had a few problems with them myself , sending 1 item when i ordered 2 and taking ages to rectify it .......

i got a standard one from halfrauds £20 though , fitted it by bonding to glass , pushed wiring behind window seal and into inside of door through the grommet where the heated screen wires come out , wiring inside door already there on my 1994 to connect to.

throw em out cut off the valance and trim down the end caps , looks much better and gives you better clearance ....

why ? you'll end up with more rot in your wings ! but if you are serious about doing it have a lok at the discos for sale on simmonites web site and in simmonites advert in last months lro mag as it's one of their tricks to make their overpriced cars ;look supposedly cool .....

use red rubber grease from Parts Spares & Accessories for Triumph MG Rover Land Rover Discovery Freelander Defender Range Rover & Rover SD1 , if you use wd40 it will just shag your seals
