Checked all that. It turned out to be the front propshaft universal joints causing the vibration. The sheared bolt I found turned out to be the bolt that attached the bulkhead to the chassis, it had sheared where it went into the rock sliders. The gear problem was down to the clutch slave...

Hi.I have a 1990 90 with a 300tdi engine and r380 gearbox. The last couple of days it has started to vibrate approaching 50 mph. The gears have become very difficult to engage at a standstill, reverse is the worst. There is plenty of clean clutch fluid in the reservoir. I can't seem to find...

I use my 90 as a daily driver. For a bit more fun and adrenalin I use my Buell Ulysses. :)

I just fitted one of these to my 90. works well. Rubber Ariel Land Rover Defender 4X4 off Roader NEW on eBay (end time 22-Aug-10 22:37:35 BST) I bid 2 quid & got one.

Had the same problem on me 1990 90, changed the rear A-frame ball joint and all is good now.

It's a nice bit of kit, all powder coated steel. Cheap as chips on ebay at the moment. Less than 60 quid delivered. Land Rover Defender 300 TDi TD5 or Puma Snorkel Kit on eBay (end time 08-Sep-10 11:12:29 BST) Very canny that like.
