I use some extra locking wheel nuts on the spare. They are cheap compared to a replacing the spare.

It has a guaranteed value of £9500, should it be stolen or written off. As that is what it would cost to replace it with a similar Defender.

Lancaster insurance asked for 6 photo's of my 90 / Defender. it's a 1990 with a 300TDI and R380 box. Rebuilt in 2009. It has a similar spec to the OP's. They valued it at £9500. That's more than twice what I paid for it.
