As my auto box radiator is leaking,and so needing to be repaired/replaced I was wondering as a temp measure could I just join up the 2 pipes coming in and out of the rad? This being to at least keep me mobile,only short runs and no towing.:confused2:

Cheers folks,strange thing is when I put wire back in the central locking is working better than ever . I'm sure we all wished we worked in bomb disposal sometimes,not to save the car though :D

put air suspension back on ,mud tyres,18" wheels

I removed the blue wire from the rf reciever,first stage of tracking down a overnight battery drain. Did this then went to start car ,engine imobilized came on the dash and couldn't start the car (p38 dse). Plugged blue wire back in car will start, any idea's folks,:scratching_chin:

Update ,swapped a few relay's around,same type,jump leads off another car ,starter sounded stuck i.e not throwing out cog but turning,checked for lose wire gave it a rattel by hand ,heard a click ,jump leads back on car starts only needed to reset windows. So me thinks stuck relay and stuck...

Any Idea which relay ,can't find it in the handbook ,

I knew I had a low battery so connected a boost pack,turned ignition on ,car nearly started,96 dse p38 ,so turned key to off thinking i'll give it another go, but starter just continued to turn even with key in off position, It stopped when I took off the booster leads,only because no power...

top of door will pry enough to be able to put a wedge in ,this will allow you to drop down some stiff wire to hook under lock and pull up,put some tape onto place were you will be prying will save the paintwork. Yes I have done this myself.
